  1. Does anyone have any of these for sale or know of a replacement that works with the factory amp? Thanks.
  2. You listed RTV in your tools list. Did you have to use it on the pan or was the gasket enough?thx
  3. I had the same issues when I got my SSS, I bought the Belltech 2" drop kit. It came with their Street Performance shocks, spindles and shackles. I've had them on for about 8 months and I'm very happy with the ride of the truck now. 2" Drop kit: 678SP Front shocks: 310400 Rear shocks 2212FF.
  4. I have for sale a stock 2004 SSS Cat-back exhaust. The flange studs are broken off, you would need new studs welded on or drilled for through bolts. Make offer, will not ship but can meet within a reasonable distance.
  5. So I decided since they were cheap to just go ahead and try them. They actually fit pretty well. They fit tightly around the front and rear hub, but not too tightly that I had to force them on or off. The holes for the studs measured 14.85mm so there was no issue with them. The only issue I had was that I needed to cut about 3/8" off of the lower ball joint stud since I have the 2" Beltech drop spindles on the front. Now I just need to throw some Blizzaks on them and I'll be good to go.
  6. I found a good price on some winter wheels, has anyone put these on one of our trucks? The Lug pattern is the same, just want to know if they would fit before I pick them up.

  8. Yep, those are the ones. I'm trying to see if anyone might have some used ones or know of anyone selling them cheaper than $599.99.
  9. I'm looking for a set of Dynatech catted mid pipes. 04 SSS. Thanks
  10. That reminds me of my first test drive when looking to buy a Silverado SS. I blew one of the brake lines on the test drive.... nope I'll keep looking thanks!
  11. From what I remember the stock Bose speakers have a different Ohm rating than most speakers. If you are going to install aftermarket speakers you may need to run them off of an aftermarket amp or head unit.
  12. I replaced a rear one a while ago with AC Delco 15288247 (GM, Bose Replacement). I purchased from Amazon, $60.78 each. The fronts are ACDelco 15236987 (GM, Bose Replacement) $62.68 each.
  13. That's definitely the cheapest I've seen them. I just ordered one. Thanks!
  14. When I bought my truck the cover was broken off. I would prefer a black one but would take any color.
  15. It has 108k on it, the cover had gasket maker on it so it has at least probably had the oil changed and the fill plug was easy to get out.I do think the sound was the dust shield as it was probably 3mm away from the rotor and had some wear on it. Hopefully I can get new clips tomorrow, I got Mobil1 75-90 and a new cover gasket so I should have it back on the road soon. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
  16. I opened up the diff and the clips looked like this. I guess I have to go to chevy to get these quickly trying to have it back together tomorrow for a trip. What would cause them to wear like that, just over time? Bearings looked good. Not sure where my pic went but they were worn down only maybe 1/16" so Im not sure where the rest of the play is coming from.
  17. I'm assuming it is not the wheel bearing since it is moving in and out and not up and down. As far as I know the axles are just clipped into the rear diff so I'm not really sure where the play could be coming from. I'm going to check it out tonight first everything around the hub, brakes, etc. then drain rear and look in to see what I can see. I have never opened the rear diff so not sure what I'm in for. Any help would be appreciated.
  18. I heard a scrapping noise in the rear when turning sharp right. Jacked it up found play in and out about 1/8" to 3/16" on right rear wheel. Wheel bearing?? Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks
  19. Let me know if you find them for a decent price, I broke one a couple months ago (previous owner put it on upside down, was trying to remove to fix it). I watched Ebay for weeks, ended up paying $75 just for one.
