  1. I looked at other cars grilles on ebay but they didn't give the dimensions, and the honeycomb looked alot different. Plus I did want to be buying other grille and wasted money. You can buy some honeycomb type sheets, like this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mesh-Grill-Universal-ABS-Plastic-Honeycomb-Euro-Sport-Design-Sheet-46-5-x15-5-/151167657089?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23324b6481&vxp=mtr but I didn't like it and it would match the lower grille area that I already purchased.
  2. I have some random pics, of the direction I'm going. 1. The 2007 lower grille area is just a 1/4 off so it will not fill the bottom gap. Plus to use it so the bowtie area is match it is bent (formed) or (curved) in the wrong direction and maybe able to be heated up to fit properly. yet I have not tried that yet. Because I have 2 2007 grilles I'm taking apart to fit in the bottom and top part. The top part does not fit all the way to the top corner so I'm going to adapt extra honeycomb to cover the hole upper grille area. Still have no figured out how to attach the honeycomb pieces yet, working on it. It looks to hard to cut the honeycomb and adapt it back to were the mesh was cut out, so I'm sanding down that area and will paint it black and attach the honey behind it. I did take my grille apart to do the 2007 insert you don't have too. Center piece comes apart and I cut out the mesh section. 2007 grille I cut off the and trimed so they are flat. This is just a mock up for the bottom section and I'm working on the top section.
  3. Without getting into to many details, you need to replace the 3 prong cord on your dryer to a new 4 prong cord, which will fit in that 4 prong outlet. Go to Homedepot and ask for a 30 amp dryer cord and you will have to wire it into the welder. Or get the outlet that matches the 3 prong and remove the 4 prong outlet. If you don't know how to wire maybe find someone who does so you do it right. Older dryers use to be 3 prong and now will have to be 4 prong.
  4. Well after mocking this up, I found several difference that I didn't see before. The newer center piece from the 07 sticks out about an inch farther than the stock 03 grille. and the 07 grilled will not go all the way to the hood edge. So I've changed plans and cutting out the stock grille and trying to adapt the honeycomb to the 03 grille.
  5. Welcome to the forum, Black Bear Performance will be in Memphis on Dec. 15-16 not sure how far away it is. Here is the thread in the Vendor section. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/86614-black-bear-performance-tune-memphis-tn-dec-15-16-2014/
  6. What is this jerrycurl in the SF guys hair and the panty loafers the outfielder has on?
  7. I will have step by step picture when I'm done, you will need the 2007 grille off a 2006-2007 Silverado regular truck or Silverado SS grille of the same years. The SS grille cost a lot more, you should be able to fined the regular Silverado grille in a wrecking yard fairly reasonable. They come in black or grey. I paid $52 for mine. I would buy the color your going to want to reframe from any painting. There are some aftermarket grilles on eBay but I'm not sure if they come apart like the stock grilles.
  8. Time for new tires, if there cracked on the outside they are probably cracked on the inside.
  9. Ok I'm working on this, because I have a 2003 Silverado SS and like the 2006 and 2007 honeycomb style but I didn't want to have to change to a HD type hood. Here it is. I bought a new 2003 Silverado SS Red grille off of ebay and a used 2006 Silverado grille with black honeycomb. This is just a mock up not all the way done. I have some attaching to do and a little more cutting. I've already install the lower duct grille and center lower grille. Lower grilles with foglights. I will post more pics when I install it. I will be in out of town until the end of next week so I won't get to it for a week.
  10. No sure of the exact thickness buy I got mine at Home Depot in the building section. Its use for framing strapping and comes in about a 18 inch strips.
  11. Yes, and here is the thread on the dimension of the brackets, make sure to use a fairly thick gauge of bar. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/63507-fog-lights-on-the-ss/
  12. To add the clip to D6 you need to slide out the blue clip on the GREEN box to install the connector clip make sure you install it the same as the others in the block. Then pigtail your hot wire onto the end and reinstall the block back in place and reinstall the whole fuse box back together. Take the ground wire from your harness to the side of the engine block. Then I covered it with the plastic wire loom. Plug your foglight harness to the lights, I took black ties and strapped the harness to other wires. Re hook up the battery. Here are some picture of the Fog Lights instlalled. There are other threads on how to make the brackets and install the foglights in this How to do section. Bolts above the foglight/brake ducts to attach the brackets of the foglights. Brackets installed on bumper. Thread of bracket dimensions and how to install. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/63507-fog-lights-on-the-ss/ Side view of foglights Front views.
  13. Here's how to add wiring to your fuse block if you don't have a harness. Review the prior post to see for connection to the fuse block. FogLights-http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0076PK7PA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Foglight Switch-http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013FXXGE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Foglight harness-I used this one and cut out the relay and used the connecton to the foglight and hot to the fuse block and grounded to the side of the engine block. http://www.ebay.com/itm/H11-880-Relay-Wiring-Harness-For-HID-Conversion-Kit-Add-On-Fog-Lights-LED-DRL-/131323307029?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e937aa415&vxp=mtr Relay- you can get at any part store or on ebay. First disconnect your battery and remove the brace above the fuse panel. Then remove the cover and add the relay, look under the cover it will show the place for the relay. The picture shows mine is black and in the lower left corner. Take the top cover of the fuse box off, there are clips on the front and back to remove it. Turn it over and you will see a GREEN square block. Use the prior thread or your shop book to locate D6. If D6 has 2 purple wire in its place then you do have a foglight harness installed. Find D6 it next to the RED wire in the pic. You will need to add a wire to the GREEN block that will connect to the relay. You will need the clip that fits in the square, I went to wrecking yard and cut a few out from a later model truck. When you cut it out keep the wire long enough to pigtail it to the fog light wiring harness. continue to nexted thread,

  18. Something not right, tkm55 what year and type of truck do you have? Can you post a pic of your bumper? Because the lower piece bumper honeycomb 2006-2007 and the 2003-2005 will both fit.
  19. Ebay also has one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Factory-GM-OEM-Grill-Front-Lower-Chevrolet-Silverado-SS-2003-2004-2005-NEW-Gray-/131034568410?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e8244d6da&vxp=mtr
  20. No not that I could find. I thinking of cutting the mesh out and finding honeycomb grille and add it to my 03 grille. I already have the lower honeycomb ducts and center piece.
  21. Jack access cover here. http://www.saeparts.com/Exterior-146426/7931832-Jack-Access-Cover/ProductInfo.aspx He also has cladding on this site.
  22. Found this article for installing your harness for fog lights to your fuse block and shows were D6 is on the block. This only if you don't have a harness and have to add it. Remember that most of the SSS have the harness tucked up under the front area so spend time look for the connectors, if you find them then all you need is the relay, switch, and foglights. http://www.justanswer.com/chevy/0rpcp-plug-fog-light-hook-electrical.html
  23. Ok, I found a article on fuse blocks and were each slot is use for. So I will check for the purple wiring. http://www.justanswer.com/chevy/0rpcp-plug-fog-light-hook-electrical.html
  24. Each time I'm under there I'm looking for it, I have about 2 hrs into the front, took out the headlight also, going to mount the lights tomorrow will look again.
  25. I read a few other post that mention D6 and others said it had purple wires in that slot. Did yours and is it marked D6?
