Well finally decided to take the truck to the track. Made about 10 passes. Consistently between 9.83 and 9.87. Once it got later in the evening and cooled down more made the fastest pass of the day at 9.78. Only thing done is a k&n intake and magnaflow muffler. Going this Thursday to have headers and mid pipes installed along with a tune. Looking forward to seeing what kind of difference it makes. Anyone have any guesses for me?

Interestingly mine already has electric fans on it. And as for your transfer case and trans, any particular kits you would reccomend to beef those up? My end goal is somewhere around 600 so any and all things you could reccomend for anything that's need to be replaced I'd greatly appreciate it. I've spent my life with f bodies so these trucks are completely new to me

Got ya, what about the transfer case and rear end, how do they tend to hold up to that kind of power?

I figured that might be the case. I got a line on a 4L80e out of an 02 2500 he I was contemplating rebuilding and swapping into my truck. Would that be enough to hold between 5 and 600? Or should I go another route

So I want to supercharge my SS in the future and was wondering what weak points you've experienced with the truck and what needs to be beefed up before doing so. Going for a street/strip set up that can be daily driven as well as do decent on the track.

Anyone ever done a tune on their stock SS? Of so what was your experience? Any noticeable difference or waste of time?

What's up everyone. New 03 SS owner from SC. Spent most of my life with f body's but decided to try something different. Picked it up at a steal. All original except a cold air intake and grill. Just added a magnaflow exhaust yesterday. 118,000 miles. She's my daily but have some plans for the future.
