  1. Old post bump haha When I had my 350z I didn't drive it in the winter for I had my crown Vic also at the time. I didn't see the point of washing two cars to keep the salt off it. In a few years I'll probably do the same thing when I get my mustang or older muscle car. I never got the people who store there 5000$ cars over winter or 4wd trucks then struggle with there winter beaters over winter to keep them going. Like my Harley can't really ride it when there is snow and ice on the ground. Some things make sense but others don't.
  2. I'd still take something with 4x4 and clearance for off-road. Yeah the ss works but it's not really made for it. It's a performance truck that GM used there brain sorta on it and offered it with awd, but without the skid plate or anything to protect anything under it. I wouldn't really push it past moderation use. You could make it a first and put lockers in it or weld the spools hahaha.
  3. What I seen lacking under the truck I wouldn't really try (Skid plate) catch something on the transmission and its kia. The average person yeah, but in northern minnesota iv been on some wicked no maintenance roads that I wouldn't take mine down.
  4. Hero, with it being that high of millage, generally I wouldn't touch anything with that much. Unless I knew the owner and was able to see if it was well taken care of. I guess it depends on what you paid for it. If you paid like 5 to 7 grand sure not bad but that's still kind of high when you can find heavy 1/2tons for about the same.
  5. Can't forget the people who just through what you say and spell check everything to be pecker head, but not help or contribute. Why I usually stay away from the bigger forums. Then again I have yet to see one where everyone is helpful. The worst is Harley Davidson ones, you wanna see some grown men cry and act like kids check that out.
  6. Mine the bearing is staring to make noise to it should last till summer.
  7. From what iv used the bfg ko is probably the best truck tire iv used. The ram I used to have with those on it would plow through massive amounts of snow and never slow down. Never tried it in sand which we dont really have in minnesota, or mud never really went hunting much back then, and going *mudding* in a street truck is kinda pointless.
  8. Hero, if you have problems with pics being to big send to yourself through email then dl them in the smallest size.
  9. A 38? Umm do you realize how big that is? You'll have to lift the truck a lot to get it to fit.
  10. Iv seen people talking about that, gotta fix a few things first the stepp motors are getting annoying in the cluster, and a.c. blower motor.
  11. No it doesn't, bottem of the driver door inside and passenger half door is all for rust.
  12. Just seen the put the location in the title opps, I'm from minnesota Recently picked up a low mileage ss from a decent dealer that turned out to be pecker heads. O well that past was then, overall I'm somewhat happy with the purchase just need to put some more money into it and cut into my bike and gun funds. I don't think I'll do much to it other then pipes and get a decent CD player. Maybe a tune but eh it's awd extended cab full-size truck not exactly a light weight. I'll probably poke around on here every now and then not a huge forum guy. It's an blue 04 ss with only 86k on it.
