Rice Eater, Love the name....Yes I have always loved first Gen Camaro's the grey one I bought in the mid 70s as a Van Nuys boulevard street racer but never really finished it. I had one race down the street from my house on DeSoto ave with a duel quad big block but it only had a one legger rearend and could not hook up, so in front of about 100 people the little small block camaro literally ate the big block for lunch. My youngest son became interested in cars a few years back and called dad out saying it don’t run never has….so dad sat in the garage for a few month getting to know the old girl again. It took 4 months and a new turbo 400 trans and converter to bring her back, the photo below was some of my friend at the track after we won our first race in her….she sure likes to run. All she has is a circa 1960s small block 327 with 12 to 1s, cast iron 202 heads ported and posished in the 70s, turbo 400 with 4000 stall converter, and a 488 spool out back she runs 12.69 on the motor. We bought a 150 shot for her but have not installed it yet due to losing the driveshaft the last time I ran her.

Hi gang, I joined this forum way back in 2002 when it had just started and I made friends with a lot of the guys still here. I just bought a 2007 2500HD 6.0L six speed to haul my travel trailer and race car trailer. It is nice to be back and I am shocked at how big the site is now. I always take great pleasure spanking the FORDS down at the track and love to hear the SS is still spanking them too.....Keep the Faith....Chevy Forever.
