Got it done earlier today. He said I was dumb for having me sign his car. He felt somehow he was defacing it. The guy is so humble it is unbelievable.
-
Pass dash or on the steering wheel IMHO.
I thought maybe the center of the Steering wheel would be cool, but it might take too much wear and tear and rub it off.
-
maybe under the hood on a paintable surface as well and then clear coat over it so you can wipe it down if need be.
I really want it to be in the interior somewhere.
-
You can see where Dario signed the Pace Car they gave away a couple weeks ago here at about 1:15 on....
-
ya, what color is your camaro again ? orangey red? try and get a sharpie to match your paint , that would be cool, if you cant get close enough then do silver.
prob would put it right infront of where the passenger sits. sorta where the air bag things are on the SSS
That is exactly where I was thinking.
-
im assuming somewhere in the interior. somewhere were you wont have to clean very often so you dont were it off.
Most likely. I was thinking right on the dash in the passenger side with a Silver Sharpie .

I have finally been able to get an appointment with Mario Andretti to show him my 2010 Pace Car he set up for me to buy with GM. I will be taking it up to his house on Monday afternoon.
I am going to have him sign the car somewhere, but have not yet decided where.
For those that are wondering what the significance of this is, check the story here..... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2024726#post2024726
Any Ideas?

I like the car, and I like the wheels. I just don't like those wheels on that color combo. Too much black. on the wheels.
I actually considered panting/Powdercoating the wheels Silver. It can always be done down the road if I get tired of the Black.
I was looking at these BBS wheels too......

Looks good!
...I am still trying to figure out what High School you took the pictures at...
It is a Playground/Park a couple blocks from my house......
-
great looking car but i hate having to kink my neck trying to look at the pictures. i feel that taking pictures like that takes away from the subject in the picture.
I'll take that into consideration next time I take pictures of one of my cars.......

Sick wheels... Add the red line you wanted to do... and hey, while youre at it, dont be afraid to put some dressing on those tires sheesh... Adams VRT would look stunning...
Thinking about doing a matching Orange Pinstripe actually. Thanks for the tip on the dressing, I was always wondering why your tires shine so much more then mine......

Car is stock height. No rubbing issues at all. I am really surprised how well 315's fit the rear of this car.
Forgestar F14's in Gloss Black.
20 x 9" Fronts with 275/40/20's
20 x 11" Rears with 315/35/20's

27 inch damn that's bad ass!!! How much do those run?
I bought the Quad Core one that was $1999.00 for the iMac. I upgraded some of my software and bought a Time Capsule Router at the same time so my bill was a little over $3k total.

Reading this forum on a new 27" iMac.

285/45/22 here with a 3" drop. I think they are the perfect size for a dropped truck. 305/40's are a bit lower than stock, and in my opinion look a bit too small.

Ill see if I can dig up where I found that info. But I remember reading about this SUV in a magazine. I will see if I can find the issue at home. All I know is this thing is extremely rare, and the right collector will pay top dollar for this SUV. The last one I saw that sold was a black GMC with about the same amount of miles and it went for about 30K several years ago. I have a friend who deals with specialty cars like this if you want PM me the VIN and I will see if I can have him get some more info for you.

Never heard of it. Maybe call Lingenfelter's customer service for info??? Motor looks awesome!
I did that. I was told it is 640 hp and 760 tq. When I get a VIN number they will be able to tell me more.
-
While I dont have the numbers I would not put that much value in it. I would guess lower, $20K. It is cool but does not seem like it gets much use, probably uses 3-4 gal /mile. I would put a higher value on a hertage collection specality truck llike this(GM made) this just seems like it would take up space in your gargage...not get much use, then you'll sell it later for the next cool thing.
this is one of those deals, if its good and you'll drive it get it. if its for your collection, tell mario to get you first dibs at the next hertiage collection auction...
Depending on the Value nd what I can buy it for, I might buy it to flip.

Wow! I can't belive I'm seeing one of these come up in such great shape. I know that lingenfelter only came out with 7 of these in Chevy trim and 5 in GMC trim. I know it has a 605BBC motor in it that was rated at about 650hp and 750tq. In that condition it's probably worth close to $35,000. That is one crazy find.
Do you have any additional info about them? Where did you get those numbers?
-
Looking at a 1995 Lingenfelter 605 Suburban 2500 4x4. It has a Big Block, and I do not know much more about it. It has 72k miles and has never been in the rain. Truck is for sale, and I am trying to get a value of what it might be worth.

Sorry I did not get back up to the tent, the Pace Car guys had me surprised when I got there. They had a special spot reserved for me right next to a '69 Pace car........

words cannot express how much I hate you!!!!!!!
OMG - BASTARD!!!
Badass car brother... very awesome story!
And yea, He does know Mario, in fact he introduced me to him at SEMA last year... anyways, killer car bro, and little did the guy in the video that you own a STICKER COMPANY and you can fix that ding in 5 minutes!!!!
BADASS!!!!
Thats ok Dave, I don't hate you any more than I did before....... Actually I have to order the bumper stripe from GM because it is a special White Pearl Color that I cannot get. You don't know how much it pisses me off that I have to pay $85.00 for what I know is a $3.00 piece of vinyl.
Are you building anything for the SEMA Show this year?
Where Should I Get My Camaro Signed By Mario?

He is just honestly that humble. He really felt as though he was defacing my car by signing it.
I added the stripes on the dash myself. They are White Pearl that match the outside stripes. The actual Pace Car had these, but they were dropped from production on the replica cars.
