I actually have been on this site since 04 but haven't been very active. I don't believe I have actually introduced myself. My name is Scott and I own a 04 black ss. It is still pretty much stock with only a volant air box with ram air tube and a hypertech tune. I am planning on doing more in the future. I know there are a lot of experts on this site and I am very confident that if I have any questions about my truck I can find the answers here.

I live in michigan and would love to go to a meet. If you guys figure out a date let me know.

Year of truck: 2004 Model: SS Trans: stock Converter: stock Gear: stock Tires: stock List of current mods: Volant air box w/ ram air scoop, Hypertech III programer (I will be taking this off eventually and yes I know I should have done a custom tune ) Possible future mods: headers, exhaust, lifters maybe, custom tune Goals for truck: just to be a little faster Uses of the truck: cruising What's your recommendation?
-
That's really good to know. I will definitely keep the custom tune in mind for the future. Everyone on this site swears by it.
-
I have installed it already and don't really notice a difference. I had seriously considered a custom tune from pcmforless but I wanted to be able to switch back to the factory tune if I take my truck in for service. For now this is alright i'll play around with the shift points and see what that does.

I just got a hypertech the other day and was wondering what shift points I should use? Also should I change the rev limiter and shift firmness?
