  1. Engine Temp Fluctuations

    In the last week or so my engine temp keeps jumping up to 210* and back down.   :banghead:  Any ideas?  Thermostat? Gauge Cluster? ...

     

     

    i had this same probelm with my whipple!!!!!

     

    i think it from the upper radiator hose is restricted when goes by the altenator the part of the hose with covering on. the covering that looks like a bigger wiring harness protector.you might have to remove the engine covers to see this.

    as soon as took the whipple off and put an oem hose back on i have never had the same problem. If you look at n20power's the one that just swapped a whipple from a h2 his upper hose is stock but it runs between the belt. Or just get the bend out of yours and not have the restriction.

    Back in the pits, Lazlo and Mike swapped the street radials for a set of slicks, and I hauled tail to the lanes. It was now almost 8 p.m., which meant that Milan would be closing soon. The T56 was giving me more trouble on the way to the burnout box, and after smoking the brand-new meats big-time, I staged up. The last thing I wanted to do was stall this rocket on the slicks, so I gassed it until just over five grand was showing on the tach and side-stepped the clutch. WWWWHHHHAAAAA-aaaaaaahhh, the LS7 groaned, pulling my head into the cloth seat and recording a 1.67 short time. I again abused the shifter through the gears but had to settle for molasses-slow shifts, and flew through the traps--limiter kicking in immediately--with a 12.61 at 112. I was now down to the last run of the night, as the lanes had been closed off after I rolled in. I was joined in the pits by the Thomson crew, Jamie Meyer, Shawn Smith, and Lisa Reffett of GMPP, and Mark Whitney, who had earlier put the smack down on Meyer's stock Trailblazer SS with his tuned TBSS. With one run left the GMPP folks were adamant about going for broke and suggested that I leave off of the limiter--um, sounds good to me!

     

    Just after 9 p.m. I pulled the bad black F-body into the water and executed a big Second- gear burnout. A crowd gathered on either side as I found the lane's groove and eased up to the lights. Once pre-staged I took a deep breath, jammed the shifter into first, and crept up until both yellows were lit. I let the tree come down, floored the throttle, and when the Racepak showed 7,000, dropped the clutch. The slicks bit, the nose yanked up, and my head whipped back, but my eyes strained to look down at the tach, which was already nearing redline! I clutched and rammed the shifter into Second, marveling at how fast the revs were climbing. Third hung up just a bit but took, and with insane acceleration taking hold, the slicks--set at a low 13 psi-- started to make the car sway. I applied minor correction to the steering wheel and jammed Fourth gear. The finish line loomed immediately, the LS7 banged the limiter, and it was over: 1.56 60-ft, 12.00 at 115.07.

    Hello!  I am new to this site, and have an '05 Sierra HD with Quadrasteer and a '92 Typhoon.  I just installed an STS kit (myself) and I was wondering for those of you with this kit and the MSD boost-a-pump, what color wires do you grab at the tank for the MSD?  I am assuming the larger connector at the forward top side of the tank is for the pump, and I was wondering of the two black, one purple, one gray combo, which one is positive and which is negative?  I checked them with a meter and found what I thought was switched power, but when I spliced in the MSD I had no pump power.  The MSD and all related wires and fuses are fine.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

     

     

    i'm pretty sure the gray one is postive

     

    the two you need are the larger guage wire going into the fuel pump assembly

    the black and the other is gray

  10. Swapping a Whipple from a H2 to a SS

    I've got the superchrger off! I just have to finish taking off the piggyback computer and wiring off. I'm not sure, but it looks like there may be additional o2 sensors or the piggyback may be tapped into the factory o2's. I still have yet to decide on what I am going to do about a stock air intake. I guess I will go over to one of the H2 forums and get a stock one. I'm sure someone has a stock one they would like to get out of their way. I'll keep you guys posted.

    Did you have a handheld Diablo programmer with your? This Hummer has one and I was wondering if it was a requirement or a option. I called diablo and they said they would unlock it for me so I can use it on my truck if I could produce a receipt from where it was purchased new. Other than that, I think I can figure most of it out on my own. I am going to have to fab. my own air intake tube from the throttle body to the air box/mass sensor.

     

     

    whipple has their own sperate handheld that is made for them it is not a diablo

    i wouldn't use it if it were me!!!

    i had the whipple electronics but i would program and swap injectors.

    you will get more power and be able to change pullies if needed

     

    i still have a air box tube from my whipple and some other parts too!!!!

    is it a rear injector whipple or a throttle injector kit?

    this does make a difference. depending on how much power you can make if still decide to you whipple's computer

    I am stuck trying to complete what seems like a shrine to pray for the persons soul or whatever. I haven't gotten the lock yet. I don't even have a code. I'm still wondering how to use the CD and what the odd voice os all about when you open the door.

     

     

    i do know you have to have the beer out of the refrigartor so it's chilly like the diary says also

     

    have you fgured out how to use the cards or

     

     

     

    i raised the dead

    These were so damn addicting

    i can't get the safe open i even got the number is there something to it?

     

     

    tired the crimson room over and now the safe worked!

     

    now on to the Viridian Room

    Yeah yu have a lot further to go there are many steps I have gone through from there. look around the skeleton more (left side)
