  1. With work and the snow and all, I finally got a chance to call GEICO this morning. The truck goes in for repairs on Monday. It will go in as an "Uninsured motorist" claim, so the deductible is only $200 (instead of the $500 for a collision claim). Now I have to make sure Enterprise gets me another SSS or SSSI (yeah, right!) since I am authorized "similar size and function" for a rental. Being a, well, umm, tall, husky fellow, there will be no GEO metro rental cars in my driveway.

When I look at the damage, I see one of those wrecker bumpers. You know, one that is wide and tall and sticks out a bit from the wrecker. Kind of like the driver was not paying attention and turned too quickly, probably when backng out, f\/cking my truck up in the process.

  2. Someone got my Intimidator. Either at work or at the 7-11 on the way to work. It was good yesterday morning but when I got off work this morning, I found this...

I thought it was just cladding, but upon further review...

I guess it's time to call GEICO and check for a good body shop.

  3. To add the in-dash 6 disc below, which harness do I need and which wires do I tap?

    Thx!

ps the stock nav plugged right in, had the dealer unlock it, added the antenna and it's the SHI*!

Not to jack your thread, but I have a question about nav head units. I have seen so many different part numbers listed on here that I'm going nuts. I want to change from the 6 disc Bose in my 06 Intimidator to a factory touch screen nav and the 6 disc changer below. How about a definitive answer of what part numbers I need for the nav unit and the changer. I'll follow this thread for the harness and any other stuff (like the GPS antenna maybe).

    Thanks,

  4. Purchased new in March 06 and it has about 19.5k miles so far. It's a daily driver.

Well, sorta. The wife's SSR only holds two and the same for the Harley. When we have to go places with the daughter we go in the Intimidator. Hell, my truck doesn't even rate garage space right now. The SSR and the Fatboy (w/trailer) get that! I'm on the driveway and there is a freakin' pine tree that is going to be cut down this spring because of it. I HATE pine needles in my cowl area.

When the temperature is above 35F and there is no rain or snow I ride the Harley to work. There is the occassional carpool with the wife and that is usually a toss-up between which vehicle we take.

Ain't it great to have choices in life?

  5. Taking the stock exhaust off in a garage on ramps is a frustrating experience. Maybe you could do it if you had a lift but I doubt it. The genious that turned the first clamp toward the top should be smacked severely about the face and head. A ratchet and socket would not fit between the clamp and the floor. and a wrench would not grab flat and still have room for leverage

Needless to say, the complete cat-back is no longer together. I started taking it off with Craftsman tools but ended up getting help from DeWalt. Once the reciprocating saw came out, the new stuff was installed within an hour.

Soooooo, I have a tip from an 06 Intimidator SS available. It rained yesterday and I have not cleaned it up yet so I'll wait to post any pictures. I cut the tail pipe just ahead of the Y but can trim it down if someone wants it that way.

    Offers?

  6. I'm putting a B&B cat-back on my truck and I'm not sure if I need to take the stock stuff off gently or save some time and just cut it off.

Sooooo, this is a feeler to see if there is anyone interested in the stock cat-back from an 06 Intimidator SS. It has about 13K miles on it.

    Offers?

If no one wants the full thing, I may be convinced to sell the tip.

    Thanks,

  7. I was making a quick run through the local Wal*Mart today when what did I see? A radio controlled Intimidator SS!! I was jumping up and down like a 5 year old. After I regained my composure, I convinced the wife that I should have one. The digital camera is broken, but I'll try to post up a picture soon.

I may have to go back and get another one so I can leave this one sealed in it's box and be able to play with one.

  8. You might want to register and post this on the SSR board - www.ssrfanatic.com

It's a pretty good group of folks (and I'm Diggs over there, too).

P.S. In case you don't want to register, I'm going to post this link over there.
