  1. The score was closer then it appears, and while the Dallas front 7 are pretty good on that defence and will improve when tank joins up, their secondary is the worst i have seen all season long, that includes a buffalo secondary that has 3rd stringers subbing in for injuries! If Dallas wants to get anywhere this season they better start looking for some guys that know how to cover people in that secondary because the players they have now suck at it to put it lightly! Lets not forget that Dallas did not even have to worry one bit about the run and still got picked apart, their secondary will be the end of them this season.

  2. not as funny as tonyhomo.com

it's "drew bledsoe's personal blog". started after drew lost his job.

Yea tonyhomo.com is freaking hilarious, it was actually updated last week when Romo threw more to the Buffalo defenders then his own teammates.

  3. Well it looks like the UAW now has it's sights set on Chrysler and have set a tentative strike date for this wednesday if no agreements are set.

Chrysler pays its workers an average of $75.86 per hour in wages, pension and health care costs, the highest among the Detroit automakers.

:shakehead: Unreal that quote says it all and yet they still bitch wine and cry about wanting even more, and job security for life on top of it!

  4. I agree.

The Union has inflated the wages of these assembly line workers at GM to the point of insanity.

How can you pay out $65,000 a year plus benefits to someone with a high school education that snaps on door panels all day long. -no joke, I read this somewhere! In my opinion, this is why GM (big 3 in general) are loosing ground to foreign car makers. I just hope GM is around long enough so I can buy myself a Corvette when I retire. What a mess!

It cost gm about 70-75 dollars an hour per line worker once pay and benefits get tacked on, Toyota is a good 20 or so less an hour but were the main problem lies is in the pension plans. That is what will potentially put gm out of business unless major changes are applied, gm has something around 400,000 pension plans vs. Toyota's 1,200 or so! The union needs to learn the word 401k like the rest of America has had to, either that or watch all their jobs and after that the entire UAW union crumble under it's own weight! Pretty simple concept to understand, No UAW factories in this country means no UAW jobs.

What scares me the most are these UAW employees that lose their jobs will be losing prob. close to 50% of their income or even more because for their skill set their is no other place for them in this country. Without question a lot of them have been living the lives of middle class income and will have a big problem when they cant find jobs that will pay them over 12 bucks a hour like all other factory assembly line workers.

  5. And who are you newbie?

I don't have a damn thing to be mad about. My Raiders are tied for 1st place with a 2-2 record. :ughdance: They're doing a helluva lot better than I expected from them this year. Plus I don't just praise my team when they win, I do it year round every year whether they win or lose hence the R8RS4LF plate.

You can go back to lurking now. :troll:

I know one thing about raiders fans from when we use to get jim rome out here in mass, anytime the raiders win and the chargers lose is a good day for a oak fan. Also anytime the chargers just plain lose it is a good day for oak fans. :jester:

  6. All I know is that Brett Favre and my Packers are taking it all the way this year! 4-0? What!?

Not with that run defence, it's nice to see the packers winning after the last couple nightmares of years they have had but lets not go crazy here.

    Colts

    Patriots

    Cowboys

    Greenbay

Is how i have to rank it right now, the bears are done, they are morons for even thinking that pos crew of qb's could get it done and deserve to lose this year for stupidity! I still have to give it to the cowboys for the nfc they clearly look ahead of every other team in the nfc and score at will like the pats and colts have been doing.

  7. Lets not forget the added cost to both the corporate side and the individual employee due to escalating health care costs. People always want to get caught up in the "$ per hour" argument and forget that a hefty chunk of their hourly pay as well as company profits goes toward health care expenses. More of these costs are being passed to the individual. While watching a video of the Presidential Mashup on Yahoo a week or so ago, one of the candidates stated that health care costs to employees have gone up 87% in the last 6 years. 87%!?!?!?!?!?!?

They also gave a few examples of how health care costs are crushing our ability to compete in the global economy. Some of the things that were mentioned were that due to health care costs in the U.S., a GM vehicle built inside our borders costs 14% more than the same vehicle built in Canada. Another example was that $1500 of the price tag of *EVERY* GM vehicle built in the states goes for health care while the health care cost per vehicle for Toyota is $150 per vehicle.

I don't work for a Union company nor am I affiliated with the auto industry. Wages are just one slice of the bigger pie.

Your right the total cost per line worker for gm was about 65-75 an hour, there was a chart done about 2 years ago that was floating around the net comparing gm to toyota and the cost difference is huge between the two.

    Found the chart..

  8. Then great...lets give it to the mexicans and indians to do cheaper...because the reality is that if thats all you can do as a skill, have you seen what non-union unskilled labor makes for the same job? The wage gap is HUGE!. A gm assembler makes $25/hr and non-union...say at an appliance factory makes $13/hr...The point Bob is that if GM ever breaks the union or sends your job overseas, you will be making $13/hr so it would behoove you and the UAW to cooperate and not make demands for pay that isnt deserving of it. And honestly Bob, I know nothing about you personally, but I do know alot of people in the UAW and their skill set would barely get them a job at Mcdonalds drive thru window after 20yrs putting a few bolts together...the labor is not worth the money being paid for it and it shows...Why do you think Toyota is making so much money? Why do you think they are selling more cars? Because they pay labor for what it is worth and their quality doesn't suffer anymore than GM or UAW...think about.

I swear some people in the UAW just have no damn clue what the real world is like outside of these union plants, but pretty soon when they are selling off their homes and middle class lives because they went from 50+ a year to about 20-25 they will be wishing they compromised to keep their jobs! Gm is just looking to survive and they can not be paying these wages and retirement benefits and remain competitive with the competition that simply have non of these cost!

What's worse gm pulling out of this country and taking hundreds of thousands of jobs with it because the unions wont budge or compromising to keep jobs here for people and making a little less? You make it sound like since it is mind numbing and boring that it should be high paying  welcome to the real world were most factory jobs are this way and by the way pay 1/3 of what you make, and they don't care if you hate it because their will be hundreds of others willing to take your spot if you quit.

Times have changed and it's too bad that union members do not see this, i think keeping their jobs intact rather then losing them trying to prove a point that frankly the rest of america will not care about is beyond me. Also funny how unions have tried to inject themselves into the toyota plants but their workers want no part of what they have to offer!

  9. WTF? why would he do something like this? what about michael waltrip...? he aint doin so hot this year and...he drives a toyota...im a smoke fan and ill stay a smoke fan i just wont like what hes driving...

I will cheer everytime i see smoke get sent into the wall, i didnt care for him before and now this makes it very easy to enjoy watching him fail week after week! :driving:

well toyota does have a v8 in a car....its called a lexus and guess what its a toyota engine. and to continue, what 2 door chevy or ford is a rear wheel drive and a v8 in the current model year? eh, there isnt one.

Christ man really how the hell can you forget about the vette or mustang.

  10. :withstupid: it would also be fun to get drunk and brake it with a bat. that would be a blast. on a serious note though, i hope they don't try bringin this junk to America. who in the right mind would buy something like that?

I dont know maybe the already millions of non american supporting idiots in this country who already buy and own their products! :shakehead:

  11. When do you recommend to have a cholesterol test done? Im 19 years old, 165 lbs about 12% body fat do you think I'm heading in the wrong direction??? I work out regularly as well.

and Sorry to hear about that!!! I hope you make a quick and speedy recovery!

It's never to young, just go to your doctor and take a physical and have blood work done, diabetes, cholesterol can all be checked very easily and it does not discriminate between fat or skinny people. Your family history is a huge contributor also so don't think just because you are at peak physical condition it wont affect you, especially if you have a family history of heart failure or other health issues.

  12. Yeah I'm sure any of us on this site would of had no problem fighting a experienced ufc champion like Couture after he used the top of his skull to flatten his nose making it impossible to breath out of and see with blood pouring all over the place! Even with all that he still went for 3 rounds, please some people here need to stop talking like there a@@ would of done any better! Anyone who thinks Gonzaga is going away is a moron, i think under the circumstances he did the best he could and he will be back to fight another day.

  13. That's about how it is.... :banghead:

But... the good thing is... i'm only 20.. so i still have time to go back and get my engineering degree if i want..

.... or i could just stay in this field for another 2-3 years and just become a CAD Designer.. :driving:

If you can get that piece of paper it helps bigtime on the pay scale, maybe your job will pay for you to get that degree, you never know.

  14. well.. i'm a cad tech.. i work with engineers every damn day of the week...

......... i also help design the highways you guys drive on in north texas.. :D

More like the engineers who are getting paid 4 times the amount you are, will give you vague ideas of what they are looking for and then you draw it out, designing pretty much the entire print while they collect the pats on the back and the 5 figure bonus checks. That's pretty much how it seems to work here. :banghead: I should of stayed in school for my engineering degree :shakehead: but was completely bored to tears in a lot of the classes needed for that piece of paper.

Grats on the degree, it's a long damn 4 years to get that thing thats for sure!
