A few of us are going to Crusin OC in May and then the NE meet at the GM nats in carlisle pa are in June as well.

Definitly a noticable power difference with the turbo. The only downfall is the turbo lag compaired to the stock one. The 4000 was also the largest turbo i could go without upgrading to headstuds/gaskets etc. These Duramax engines still continue to amaze me. I have more fun playing with this truck then I do with my ss.

Daily driver, can't mess around. I don't like my credit card anymore though.

Update: Truck is up and running and just sounds sick. The whistle this thing makes and increase in power is amazing.

Motor is ok thank god. just had to get the oil out of the clyinders and it turns over now. have to flush all the metal out from pretty much everywhere. New turbo, 4" down pipe, intake. etc is already ordered.

You guys just missed me thats all. Thats the only explanation for it.

The truck is pushing 560hp and 1050 ft lbs and would probably run a low 13 sec quarter. Stock turbo didn't like it. It got over spun and surged a few too many times. The turbo kit i'm looking at is 3,600.00. I'm hoping to have it up and running for 4 to 5,000.

So i'm on my way to Niko's tranny install in my Duramax, I pull up to a stop light and a Mustang pulls up beside me. Of course I can't resist, the light turns green and I nail it. Had about 4 truck lengths on the mustang when out of know where BOOM! The turbo flies apart. I was stranded at a park and ride for 2 and a half hours till my buddy came with a trailer. Thought i'd share the carnige with you guys. all the oil that was in the intercooler piping glow plug hole. Hydro locked the engine, 3 clyinders full of oil. ATS Aurora 4000 Turbo is going on...

Niko I owe you a big apology for not getting up there and lending you a hand. As you probably heard, had a few issues on the way up. I have pictures of the carnige and will post them up in a little bit. I heard the install was pretty horrible.

No problem. I've had mine out more than once.

I went through 2 red tops in a year. I don't have much faith in those things anymore.

Magnusson kit part number is 31-12-00-026. (Walbro 255lph) Should have everything you need.

Love the truck! Sounds good for stock exhaust.
