Thanks everyone. Yah I know Brian, he move yet? Actually I JUST SOLD MY TRUCK . A state trooper in Nenana bought it. He has plans to drop it, cowl hood, bed cover, and i strongly suggested to him to invest in an intercooler. Still has same plates if you see SYCOSS rollin.

Cleaned up on my new 22's. -
Thanks for coming out man, it was good to see some SS's out there running or not. Your truck is clean. I wish i would've thought to get a photo with your truck and mine. My truck will probably be sold before we can ever get a picture again. Either way, i appreciate you takin' some photos. Although i had a great time, i will admit i was kinda upset by my times.... 13.5... built motor, tranny, STS turb..... should be faster. With that said, at least i punked all the diesels there!

JBA headers to billy boat side exit for sts turbo
rumpy replied to rumpy's topic in Bolt On Performance
i will use that as a last resort... any other suggestions? -
I recently rebuilt my motor. I was scrambling to get it back together, and used some BS collector gaskets that weren't the right fit. Now the left one is completely blown out. The problem is, each side its a different size/bolt pattern. I don't know where to buy a set that will fit. When my engine was out i took the headers to 3 different parts stores in town and no one had a match. When i had them out i should've taken a photo... but didn't. Anyone have simple solution... ??? Or know where to buy the set? Thanks. - Travis

Hey everyone! Just trying to get an SS event set up for this summer(May 26th). I've taken my truck once to the Northern Diesel Performance Truck Series races at the Alaska Raceway Park. They have a gas bracket but its small... usually 4 trucks(mine being the only SS). If nothing else we should have a meet that weekend in Anchorage(Sat Night?), and performance minded people should come out the track and check it out - if not race, they also have test and tune. You don't have to have the fastest truck - its all about consistency. Plus - its cool to watch the diesels. If anyone is interested. Let me know and we can work out some additional details. Where: Palmer Alaska Raceway Park Date: May 26, 2007 Time: 1pm (i think)

Thanks everyone! Just had my first oil change(300 miles). Everything is looking in order. Just gonna do some fine tuning - and some transmission work and she will be a beast!

Dave & Everyone else - MY TRUCK IS RUNNING! The GM dealer called and said they found a bad ground that controls my PCM. It was connected but had no continuity - so they reseated it on both ends and she fired right up. So i went and picked her up - on the way home, it was a rough ride, i'm 99% sure i had some bad gas. I had less than quarter tank that had been sitting 6 months. The transmission still needs work(it struggles into second) but other than that - its amazing to have my truck back!!! I'm having Kyle the local STS rep check out my turbo system and it will be a week or two until the transmission work is done. Thanks for everyones help in this thread. Dave - sorry to hear about your transmission - hopefully mine can hang on until I can get it in to get fixed. Thanks again everyone! - Travis

Well, i should know tomorrow what the problem is. Its at a GM dealer now, today they called to tell me they are still working on it, it has good compression/fuel pressure. I could've told em' that tho. So we will see. They install alarms/autostarts, so i will have them check that too. - Trav
-
No i didn't check it, but all the above mentioned stuff works. I can't get any error codes though. If i disco something (MAF) won't get any codes. Truck is @ AK Sales and Service in the Valley - keep your fingers crossed for me. Thanks for all the ideas everyone.... they are appreciated. - Trav

Make me an offer. She is at Alaska Sales and Service in the Valley right now. I will sell her when she does run anyways. I'm getting out of the Air Force and will be studying at UAA full time - won't have the cash for this truck anymore - Trav

I tried a few of the things. Nothing worked. I did however, find a blown fuse. It goes to my flexilite fans, it keeps blowing. So i just disco'd it for now - that is the least of my worries. I'm going to call a GM dealer a little bit out of town - its the same company as in town, but i was told there is a guy who works there named rosco who is a little more high performance oriented - so he won't be scared to work on my truck. If i get a hold of him and he sounds legit, i will have it towed out there. If not - I'm going to burn it(need any parts). ;) With that said - i will keep you posted.
-
Dave, Thanks for that flo chart. I do have a set of 5 or 6 manuals for my truck. I have followed the flow chart. Its not as in depth as the information you have provided. I will try the steps i can do on my own. I appreciate you looking that stuff up for me... its been a long time with no truck. I will keep you posted. - Trav

Good fuel pressure, no spark. No codes(well, an airbag code - but i've had that for two years).
-
I argued to have (and begged) to have them do a crank relearn, but they insisted on having nothing to do with my truck. Any suggestions?
-
Well, i took my truck to a shop called Auto Electric, they couldn't figure anything out beyound the fact my coils have power. So I had the truck towed to the biggest GM dealer in Alaska, and they just called me and told me they can't do anything to it, it has been too highly modified. When I originally took it in, I asked them to do a crank relearn. I asked the guy who called to please have his tech call me. I'm at a loss - any suggestions?
