  1. i also have some chrome GM 20's, i will be replacing my chrome rims on thurs. i'll be sellin' those right after. pm me if you want to talk. thanks here are some pics of the rims. (btw- pics are from when i first got the truck, but the rims are still in the excellent condition)
  2. i just saw an article Pain At The Pump: Government Gas Secrets , about how carmakers run and test their cars for gas mileage. "And under these guidelines by the Environmental Protection Agency, carmakers are allowed to test miles per gallon by running the vehicle not on the road, but on what's essentially a treadmill for cars. During an EPA spot check, the car ran with no air conditioning, no inclines or hills, no wind resistance and at speeds no greater than 60 mph. ...but it gives carmakers what they want -- the highest possible miles per gallon to put on that sticker." With the gas prices these days it sucks to know that you're not getting the "real world" gas mileage that is advertised on the stickers. But hey, we've got trucks anyways but those who are self conscious about their gas mileage with their other cars, it still sucks otherwise. -ejay

  4. Hey Guys, I'm looking into dropping my truck after I get my new rims on, what are the differences on the complete kits for the mcgoofy's and belltech's kits. so far i know is- Belltech Complete Kit- 1. 2" Front Torsion Keys 2. 2" Rear Shackles 3. Front & Rear Nitro-Active Drop Shocks Lifetime Warranty Price- $389.95 Each (stylinconcepts.com) McGoofy's Deluxe Lit, part #SS2D 1. Spindles 2. Shackles 3. Hangers Price- Not sure on the price? McGoofy's is a 2/3.5 drop, and Belltech is a 2/2 drop. Are there differences in workmanship and how do they compare on the install. I was searchin' around and some said to have gotten some vibration from both kits, but can be solved with shims? I am just looking for whatever kit is more reliable and easier to deal with. Also how much do shops charge do an install for one of these kits? Thanks again guys -ejay

  6. sweet, i'll make sure and check my local shops first, get their quotes, then bring it to discount tire for them to match and beat the price. it's a good idea to go with discount tire because i believe they do free balancing and rotation for the life of the wheels and tires, right? thanks again guys
  7. thanks for the reply, but does tire rack and discount tire carry intro wheels or american eagle wheels in store? they don't list them on their site, so do you have to call and inquire? that's why it be good to know some shops in the bay area that are reputable so that i could through them instead. thanks -ejay
  8. hey there bay area folks, since our weather here in the bay area has finally cleared up, i'm looking into buying some new rims and tires. i live in vallejo and was wondering if you guys have some good rim and tire shops in your city that might give me a good deal. i've looked locally in my town and have yet to find a decent shop that can give me some good prices. if you guys know of any good shops in your city or anywhere, please hook me up the name of the shop so i can give them a ring and maybe check them out if they can give me a good deal. i'm looking to get a set of 22's maybe the Eagle 026's or Intro V-Rod 6's with tires. dunno yet? . i appreciate all your help guys and hope you guys enjoy the nice weather we have here finally! p.s.- i'm looking to do a McGaughys drop, if you know any good suspension shops that do a good job also, i would like to know to! thanks again -ejay
