oh come on guys, it is impressive. you all have to admit it. besides not all of us can be perfect and own an SSS.

I need help.... I can't figure out how to disconnect the sub under the dash? Any ideas of the best way? I took the consol apart and have acsess to the amp and can see the inputs and out put wires but have no idea what one feeds the sub? Any idea where I could find a wire diagram for the stock amp?
its a dual voice coil sub, need to cut 4 wires. not sure on the colors, but lift up your cup holder and on the passenger side of the console you will see the wires, clip all 4. If you need to PM me and I will look at mine to get you the colors.

I have my instrament cluster replaced at rigth around 40K miles. now that I am at 60, its pegged the speedo at 140 MPH again. anyone know how to fix this? I dont want to shell out 300 bucks every 20K miles for a speedo cluster. dealership tells me that there is nothing they can do. thanks for the help all....

pull all the plastic pieces down except the back ones. its easier than you think.

I called them today. 200 for the bracket if you buy the alts too. or 350 if you dont. it looks like a quality piece. otherwise, I can get you a CRAZY deal on the whole dual set up from Stinger. 2 200 amp alts and the bracket included. pm me and I will give you the price.

NEVER! I was in an accident 7 years ago and was not wearing mine, we flipped end over end 4 times, I was not wearing one and suffered minor injuries, my girlfriend at the time was wearing hers, she did not make it. the seatbelt broke her ribs and punctured her heart, she died in my arms when they cut the seat belt. I will pay the ticket. its cheaper than my life!!! just my opinion.

Question for you parts counter guys, has GM made a dual or secondary alternator bracket for the LSx/LQx engine, so the truck can be equipped with dual alternators (like the Ford F350 dual alt option)? If so can you reply with the part numbers and info required to do this to the SS, I have to upgrade my charging system and it looks like a single HO alternator will not be able to provide enough current, I'm going to have to run dual alternators and hopefully The General has a bracket somewhere in inventory I can leverage and it won't look or perform like crap. OR if anyone knows of an LSx/LQx specific aftermarket bracket, that might do as well.

I have my Stinger 200 Amp alternator for sale. its like new I only used it for 6 months. It is powdercoated metalic red. direct bolt on with minor wiring to do. it works like a champ, I just upgraded mine. that is the reason I am selling it. this retails for 899$ i will sell it for $250 shipped! at 16hz that is a phenominal amount of SPL! yes it was a half a$$ attempt, but at 161.3 dB thats very impressive!
I knew as well it would fly apart! the rubber surround just being glued? anyway, i give them props for the attempt!

personally, slot port it. one big port, less noise this way and much higher output. we do them all day here at work and they, in my opinio, are the onely way to go for high output. SQ on the otherside, sealed is the only way.

I just recieved a phone call of a lifetime, well for me anyway! I got a call from MTX, a car and home audio company. they are asking my shop to build them a demo car for the SEMA show in October/November!!!!!! That is about all I can say for now, but to me this is a dream come true!!!! It also means I will get to go to Vegas again this year! WOO HOO!!
I will let you all know more when I can. but just wanted to share this with you guys!

Yesterday i had to mount my amp to my back wall, i just screwed 2 small holes in wall, will never see it/ dont care, and the amp srew mounting holes are metal, but anyways it doesnt seem to be bumpin as well as before when i had it on MDS board. could some of its power be going to the metal back wall? Or anything else be happening? i put in heavier gauge wires to...
UMM no.! I am guessin you hit a button when you moved the amp. check your settings, either that or one of your subs is out of phase with the other. disconnect one sub and see if the bass gets louder, if so then switch the positive and negative on that sub and the power you lost should be back. this is just a guess from here in Iowa, not a definate answer. let us know what you find out!

BTW, I will be there too. I just finished washing/detailing the truck. Cheap beer, food, and hotrod cars/trucks. The only way it could be better is if they had some stripper poles! LOL!

to put it to you straight, DITCH THE CLEAN SWEEP! as for the speakers, its your money and your ears, buy what you like and can afford. I am running a HUGE 4 channel and a sub amp off of my factory head and it sounds awesome!!!! just my $.02
