I owned 2 Water Dragons for about a two and a half years, and just like my truck I was ocd with the "terarium".I started out with a tank about your size, and then ended up with a 100 gallon converted aquarium.I used aquarium sealant and some plexiglass to make it half water/half land.My whole tank had real soil, real plants with earth worms in the soil.It also had the UV lighting to simulate the sun and small fish in the water the WD's would dive down and eat...very cool!.I could go on and on about these guys and the tank, but I'll just tell you a couple important things...1)Make sure you "shake and bake" the crickets with a good vitamin powder twice a week(with calcium)2)Keep the water very clean, they shit in the same water they drink from 90% of the time3)They will spend all day trying to get out of the tank, and usually rubbing thier noses along the bottom of the glass, leading to infection....You can help this by putting 3"high tape along the bottom of the tank. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask

For those of you who have asked about a name I have been kinda thinking about Dragster since it's a Dragon.
Thanks for the advice I have noticed him start rubbing his nose on the glass. At first I thought he was just moving his head around but then noticed that he was rubbing his nose on the glass so I will have to fix this tonight. I have been using the calcium powder and doing everything else mentioned because I did research the care for him right after I got him. Now I guess it's time to start gathering materials to build a larger tank.

I don't know how long it takes to get to full size but they are supposed to live 15 years and he is very very active, the only time he sits in one place is while he is sleeping under the red light. It usually takes him an hour or so once I switch the basking light on to wake up and get active. I just got done feeding hime 3 more crickets and two were gone instantly. I have had him for 2 days and and I already love this guy he makes us laugh constantly. He will sit there and watch the cats watch him. I keep telling the cats they better watch out because he may eat them one day!

I got a tank from a guy at work and have always wanted a reptile of some sort and my g/f agreed to a lizard so we went to the pet store and looked at what they had and most of them were just sitting there while this guy was jumping all over the place so I figured he was the one! He is about 12" long right now and will grow to 40" so it looks as if I will be getting a larger tank in the future!

You can order the 2pc driveshaft from an SS for your truck but you will probably pay more for the same part you already have because it's gonna be the same!
-
Ok so I just quickly skipped to the end! Did the insurance pay for your parts and you are doing all the work? Do you own the truck? I know it it's on a loan most of the time they require you to take it to a shop but if you know a friend at a shop this would make sence as well!

Get an SS for sure..but what on earth does this have to do with anything mentioned in this thread?
Maybe it a last effort to get laid! I hope for his sake it works!

Do they seal once tightened back up? We have discovered here at work that if you tighten AN fittings down too much you can easily damage the sealing surfaces causing a leak which is not correctable. We have also found from time to time mismachined or damaged fittings straight from either earls and or XRP.

i put mine in the windshield with suction cups so i did not have to screw it into my bumper
In California that would be considered obstruction of view and just as much of an offence as not having a front plate if not more.

guess that's not coming out anytime EVER! No leaks there, it looke nice and mean!
What if you need to change a header gasket at some point? Oh well I guess huh?

I'll be there waiting for you with open arms, baby
LOL

There is no such thing as too far for a one night stand for a guy
I live in Cali.

Wow thats crazy I would think the work involved in rebuilding the truck plus the cost of new body parts, suspention parts, paint, and anything else would cost the insurance company more than a new truck.

IMO the stock lights are bad ass because when a family member or friend gets a rental and it's a silverado I make damn sure if the lights on the rental are pitted less than mine I swap them.

think i will still be able to use their customer service even though i am the secong owner? this is brand new and never used. would i need a receipt from them to get a new one?
A fuse tap works great!
-
I wired mine into the 4x4 fuse because it's obviously not used on a 2wd truck but the fuse is there and it's keyed power you AWD guys have this as well. Check it out it's a free 12v. power source.

do you know the part number for the 06' SS jon? thanx
Sorry read above again. You can look up all part#'s under baers application guide on their web site.
-
I believe the 05+ trucks have a different part # because they work a bit different with the drums and the spindles are made a bit different for 05+
EDIT: sorry i'm wrong same part# just listed twice for whatever reason.

The 6s pad is not the same as the alumasport caliper's pad.
This is a completely different pad it is more of a race pad and can be bought from many different companies but I bought my replacements from baer to be sure I got the correct ones and because they have a new quieter pad which is better than the ones I got originally with the 6s calipers.
Edit: there is no way as far as I know to use the stock calipers with the 15" rotors because the 6s calipers come with relocating brakets which will only work with the 6s calipers.

BTW what do you do to keep the humidity up around 70% or so? I find I am constantly misting the inside of the tank and it's working but I am thinking there must be a better way!
