  1. I think Bass Pro is running a $50 sale on some of the rugers right now so be sure to check them out when you are shopping.

    (Handgun sales aren't advertised online.)

I don't care much for buying guns at chain stores but with a sale like that the local guys wont compete.

  2. You want a warranty? Get a taurus. lifetime, no questions asked.

The Ruger LCP is making a name for itself already

Guy at work ordered one last week I think. he said a couple weeks for delivery right now buying through a local FFL and not a chain store.

  3. I am in the same boat.

I tow with mine and dropped the rear w/ 3" shackles.

I had a Dakota RT that was slammed and I used the Firestone "Air Ride" helper bag setup with manual air valves ran out through the rear license plate frame and it worked perfect.

I tow my Typhoon on a flat bed weighs in around 5300#s.

My problem was even leaving 10Psi in the bags made it ride a bit higher and after lowering it with all those parts I wasn't happy with my unloaded ride height.

I left the bags empty empty for too long and ended up getting a leak somewhere.

  4. Well I have a beater for a daily but no cash until payday.

Can you take prepaid fed ex return shipping labels?

If so I can just print them at my work and include it all in the package at once.

And just to be clear... lol no pun intended...

This mod removes the amber reflectors from both the headlight and turn signal housing, correct?

I saw mention of color matching? What does that look like? Color matched to the GM paint code?

I'd be interested in a pic if you have one available of both the clear and color matched setup.

It sounds like you could have already made your money back on the exchange program, but I would be leary that someone sends in a core that has a scratch in the housing lens and then you have to eat it.

  5. Magnaflow makes a dual in dual out that will swap right in.

It will need extensions as you presumed to make up the difference between the magnaflow and the 55 gallon drum that's under there now.

The setup I am piecing together is a 2.5 Xpipe, dual in/out 2.5" to dual SLP tips exiting just in front of the right rear tire.

It should come in nearly $300 under any catback I have been interested in and still be all stainless.

They are raping people for cat backs these days and I really don't like any of them

The Gibson Sport Truck side exit is about as close as it gets and for $600+ for a side exit.. cmon now...

I cant even get anyone at Gibson to return my emails so I gave up and started buying parts to build my own.

Taking it to a local tuner that's gonna do all the welding and support brackets.

  6. i would even trade rims for rims.u keep your tires and ill kep these, thats about it.are your stocks gray or chrome?

    Mine are silver.

Just rolled 47,000 miles, couple curb rashes but nothing major.

My only concern is giving up the half inch in rim width.

The SS rims are 8.5"s yours are 8".

I need to check what tire size I am running, but I thought it was 275/55s.

  7. Thing with GM parts direct is the outrageous shipping charge they use to make up the difference in the good deal they just gave you.

When I try to add the right vent to my shopping cart it just keep saying cart empty.

I need one as well and was going to post the shipping quote here but I give up...

Got it to work in IE, just not FF.

    Right side:

    GM Part # 12335766

    RIGHT DUCT

    Price $98.13

    Shipping $21.59

    Total shipped $119.72

    Left Side:

    GM Part # 12335767

    LEFT DUCT

    Price $100.83

    Shipping $22.18

    Total shipped $123.01

So there you can see that they charge you shipping base don the price of the sale NOT the part being shipped.

Both vents are identical in weight, yet you pay more to ship the higher cost drivers side.

GMPartsDirect can give you a good deal every now n then but I am willing to bet if you take the quote to your nearest dealer they will price match the shipped cost at the very least.

I use Dal Slabaugh at Vandevere Olds for all my GM parts.

He beats GMPartsDirects shipped price everytime.

  8. Front sway bar bushings should be changed with the front suspension loaded at ride height.

If you attempt it with the front suspension at full droop you will need to crank the sway bar down with a ratchet strap to get enough threads to bolt it up.

I found the end links locally but no one has the greaseable bushing on the shelf and 2 places told me it was special order only Id have to call ES.

I found them online at http://energysuspensionparts.com/ for a good deal.

Ordered some Moog stuff for the wife's subie just top make the shipping worthwhile.

My endlinks are on and it still feels like mush.

But I am used to a custom coilover suspension in my Typhoon so the SS has always felt like a tank towing a turd.

  9. Very nice!

There is one on the showroom floor here.

$46k msrp and the dealer markup makes it $61k!!!

I've heard employees can get a deal on them, but if you are joe blow walking in the door you might be in for a taxing.

Its definitely a cooler direction than anyone else is going right now.
