  1. The placement of my gas fill tube will be somewhat of a secret until it's all done.
  2. Thank you. I can't remember who made it for me, but someone on this forum made it for me years ago. I've been happy with it, but once my SS is out of the shop I will have to update it. I see that you are from the Abilene, TX area. I was born in Haskell, and raised in Knox City which is about an hour north of Abilene. I have a cousin that has a body shop in Abilene and he has a black SS also.
  3. I no longer live in So Cal, and I live in the country now in NC. So, if someone comes out here to mess with me or my SS then me and my 1911 .45 will have an answer for them this time. Gotta love Pro Gun states. lol
  4. Not everyone is going to like what I'm doing to my SS, but that's ok. I will be the one driving her and enjoying her.
  5. I'm not feelin it. Then they complain when the police mess with them when they deserve a Rodney King ass whoopin for doing dumb crap like this.
  6. I went to check on the progress tonight. Thy did block the entire truck, and smooth out the tailgate, and rollpan. So, I was pleased with the progress. I didn't get pictures of the sides, because other than being blocked smooth they look like the previous pictures. So, here is the ass end smoothed out. I was using my phone so the pictures are not the best. Tailgate Another angle.
  7. Wow, at least he was honest about the condition of the truck.
  8. Good guesses, but 1 is a definate no, and 2 is a partial yes, but it won't just be in the bed. That would be a pain in the ass since I have a Gaylord Speedstur cover that I would have to push up, and then climb into the bed to fill it up.
  9. I am going with a two tone on it. Black on the bottom and a blood redish color up top. The Gas filler isn't anything that crazy, but something that is not done every day. Just a small mod that will catch your attention.
  10. She will be getting her gas, just not in the same location that you put it in. I am hoping that I can get her back by the end of the month. When are you trying to put together this meet?
  11. Yeah it sucks that these low lifes decided to key my truck, but it gave me a chance to redo everything. Oh, that is going to be somewhat of a surprise. I got this idea from a show truck that I saw a while back.
  12. My SSS was vandalized prior to me leaving Southern California, and I was lucky that she wasn't stolen while I was there. I kind of felt bad for her, and I needed to treat her to a makover once I arrived here in North Carolina. Since she has been such a great truck all these years I decided to clean her up quite a bit. She is getting ready for some paint, and I shaved a few things off of her. Here is the progress so far. Here is the final update. I moved all pictures to the first post so that you wouldn't have to go through the whole thead to see them. What do you think? Shaved drivers side door and gas door. Shaved Gas door, and shaved Bed rail. Drivers side with the cladding prepped in the background, and you can see the bedrail shaved as well. Molded BSER Rollpan. (Drivers Side) Molded BSER Rollpan ( Passenger side) Passenger side Shaved Tailgate: Another angle. Painted Drivers side: Painted Passenger side: Painted Drivers side: Moulded BSER rollpan, Shaved Tailgate, and something different for paint on the tailgate. Passenger side: Front View: I have the lower grills on order to paint and install soon. For my gas fill area I added this Motorcycle style pop up filler on top of the bed rail, and it hides under my tonneau cover.
  13. To each their own. I wouldn't do that.
  14. I've seen at least 3 different SS's here in Jacksonville, not including mine and another guy on this forum.
  15. I'm new to the Jacksonville, area. Sounds like we have enough SS's around here to have a good turnout for a SS meet up.
  16. I can't say that I remember that one. I had a guy here show me some paint colors and those just stood out to me. So, I figure I would try and be different.
  17. I'm going with a lower black, and a blood redish color up top, with a silver to break up the colors.
  18. Yeah, that is my SS there at Majestic. I looked around and talked to damn near every shop in the area, and I wasn't really impressed with most of their work. I went up to Majestic, and I took a tour of their shop, saw a lot of their work, and asked a lot of questions. I was sold after talking to the fabricator and painter there. I can't really remember his name off the top of my head, but he was tattoo'd up, and a great guy from what I could tell. So, we struck up a deal, and they are going to do a total repaint of the truck with a two tone, and a custom painted graphic to break up the colors, molding my BSER rollpan into the body, Shaving the door handles, tailgate handle and small holes at the top of the tailgate, flipping the tailgate handle to the inside, shaving the gas door and adding a flush mount pop-up motorcycle fuel door to the top of the bed rail, and tinting my tail lights. So, a lot of work is going into it at this time. Next is the interior, and then some performance mods. I also have to find a quality chrome shop to rechrome my wheels, and billet grill pieces.
  19. I appreciate that. My truck is currently in a body shop getting a repaint, and having everything shaved off of it. I will get it back in a few weeks. Then it's time to upgrade the power output on the motor. I'm fairly new to the area, so it's always good to get to know my neighbors, and fellow gearheads. I appreciate the help, and after talking it over with another friend of mine last night we came to the same conclusion that you did. I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to motor work, so I rely on those that are more experience with all the technical stuff. Thanks for taking the time to better inform me. I appreciate it.
  20. This was a duplicate thread due to my phone being dumb, but I live off of Lee Rogers Rd here in Hubert.
  21. I have the basics, Pacesetter Longtube headers, Volant CAI, 160 Tstat, and a tune.
