  1. ...as far as sit down they usually cost quite a bit more, and I like Yamaha for those.

I would also say that the Yamaha's are the MOST reliable, Kawasaki being a close second (but the Kawi's are more 'bland', IMO...not as fast, not as fun to ride).

    50mph is no problem....

The 60mph barrier is where they start to be considered 'fast'.

    I have a '98 XL1200 (3-seater, 1200cc Yamaha, 135hp) that does 58 (on GPS), and a '00 GP120R (2-seater, 1200CC with 155hp) that will do almost 68mph (also on GPS).

Be wary of people claiming overly fast speeds...they will say "does 70mph"...but that's probably the stock speedo. They are WAY off. Mine, for example...shows 75mph when I'm doing ~65mph. Very typical. People call them 'dream-o-meters', not speedometers.

NOTE: Get educated about safe boating, and ALWAYS wear your lifevest.

  2. IMV used to come and film all the meets my brother and I would go to with his supra. I'm in at least 2 of em from orlando and tampa.. very nice films.

Who's your brother? I ran those meets for close to 2 years...!

Back when INTMO was an actual 'University of Florida Affiliated Club', I was president...and I led most the late-night 'drives' that we did.

  3. As the title says...I'm selling my stock tip.

I've held onto it thinking I'd use it on a project...but it's been 2 years, and I think I prefer the 'tipless' look on trucks.

*** SOLD, PENDING FUNDS *** $40 shipped . $35 shipped EDIT: $30 SHIPPED (PayPal preferred)

    Here's couple pics:

  4. As the title says, I'm selling the stock 105amp alternator off my '03 SS.

Took it off with ~35,000 on the truck (when I upgraded to a 145amp 'KG3' from a Tahoe).

Since then, it's been sitting on a shelf in the garage.

I just want it GONE...someone must need it?

$25 SHIPPED via USPS 'flat rate' box.

    E-mail ( orion <at> gru <dot> net ) is best...or PM me here.

  5. UPS Ground shipping looks to be around $20 (it's heavy!)...

At $40, I feel like this is not a "deal" for you.

How about this - Send me $32 by PayPal, and it's yours. That will net me about $10 after PayPal fees and shipping, which is just fine. I just want it off my 'spare parts' shelf, and in the hands of someone who might use it.

Sound good? I'll PM you now...

  6. SOOOoooooooo....we learned that the Z06 has better straight line speed...???

That's not exactly a fair 'track test'.

We don't know the experience of the drivers - Clearly, the F430 driver has an instructor in the car - Newb?

Sebring favors big power...and the 'Vette traps ~7mph faster than the Ferrari. That's a BIG difference in power-to-weight.

Food for thought...I know most of you guys are hardcore Chevy fans...but give a little respect to the overpriced 'pasta rocket' (Ferrari).

  7. My brother is selling his '75 Bronco...it's a nice truck, was just completely redone. Comes with lots of extra and spare parts.

    16c0_3.JPG

351 motor, new paint, lift, big tires, power brakes were added, extra 302 HO motor included, etc...

I told him I'd help spread the word - It's on eBay, here's the link:

Any interest or questions...I guess, post 'em here...and I'll try to answer what I can.

One thing to note - He is a Ford mechanic, so everything was done RIGHT.

  8. Duals, right out the back...can fill the cabin with fumes if you have the rear window open (like on a Bronco, with a sliding rear window).

But on your Tahoe...I think it'd be fine.

On a truck, this is of no concern.

  9. Yeah I figure they will force me into a new loan with new loan interest added onto what I already owe :banghead: Thanks ex....you F'ing suck bi!@%

Unless I'm reading this wrong...it looks like you're under the assumption that you'll have to pay the current interest, plus more once you refinance?

If so, that's not the case.

If you owe $5000 as of today...you refinance exactly $5000, and the interest on the first loan stops the day it's paid off by the new loan.

    So nothing will change.

Refinancing will MOST LIKELY save you money, if you can find a better rate.

Unless your current loan has some penalty for early payoff (not a standard thing on car loans)...you can refinance any time...and it'll cost you nothing. You'll pay interest on the original loan up until the day it's paid off by the new one, then you'll pay interest on the new one.

  10. ^^^ Correct.

It's almost 2.75" OD at the muffler inlet.

A 2.5" inlet on a muffler is flared to fit over a 2.5" OD pipe...so it's almost a match to the stock tubing, so you can 'butt weld' it (or whatever the term is).

But I'd do a 3" inlet, so it slips over the tubing.
