  1. I also try to look at it on a case by case basis. The ones standing on the street corners holding signs, and smoking cigarettes probably have more money in their pocket than I have in the bank. There was this one time where this lady was flagging people down in a shopping center parking lot, so my wife and I stopped. She had ran out of gas, was lost, and had no money. Her van was right there, and this was a nice part of town, so we gave her a five. We then watched her go to the gas station, so we felt pretty good about it.
  2. I run 93 in mine exclusively. I tried 87 and 89, but my gas milage suffered, along with performance. So, I figured it equaled out price wise. I think you just got a bad pump. I read that bulletin (I work for a Chevy dealer), and saw that Chevron was at the top. I use QT, because it's usually cheaper than most of the others, and it runs pretty well in my truck. It's rated #3 I believe.
  3. Alot of it is personal prefference, as far as sound, drone, or what you're willing/able to put up with. Flowmaster has been around for a while, and revolutionized the industry when they first started. There are products now that may be better, but they are not as bad as everyone makes them out to be. They are still used on alot of very fast street cars. They are my choice for exhaust. I've used them on several cars/trucks, and have not been let down yet. Mr.P hit the nail on the head, It's in the installation.
  4. Those are nice. Clean and simple.
  5. If they're as expensive as they are here, some places $5 a pack, it wouldn't take long. I quit smoking 5 years ago, and haven't looked back.
  6. Oops. I forgot to put this smilie in there.
  7. You should have popped the hood, and told him to find the blower since he knows so much about cars. Then just slapped him, and called him stupid. Good kills.
  8. That's a damn shame. Someones throwing away a perfectly good Ferrarri.
  9. Probably. I have Loverboy, Sammy Haggar, and .38 Special in mine.
  10. The big thing with the Dynatech's are that they are a true bolt on system. I've heard that they are pretty easy to in stall, as far as headers go. The only drawback that I can see, and it's probably minimal, is they are a 1 3/4" primary into a 2 1/2" collector. Alot of guys are running these on supercharged trucks with good results, so it may not be THAT much of an issue.
  11. I don't mind someone parking in front of my house, as long as it's not all day. Especially in a case like yours where you're moving, unloading stuff, and it's not going to be there long. My big thing is DON'T BLOCK MY DRIVEWAY!!! I got into this with my neighbor's at my old house on a weekly basis. To the point where I told him if it happened again I was either going to chain it to the truck, and drag it down the f-ing street, or have it impounded. My neighbor's are pretty cool, too. Everybody on the street has kids that play together, so we all watch out for one another. Plus, my accross the street neighbor is a cop, and he drives his cruiser home. Great theft deterent.
  12. I whooped up on a Prius the other day. The Yaris next to him did want to play, too, but decided he didn't want none of dis.
  13. Years ago, for the turbo Buick crowd, they used to sell a fuel pump voltage booster harness to kick the pressure up a bit. I assume that's what he's wanting to do. I didn't think that was neccessary any more.
  14. A friend of mine has one on his truck, and it looks damn good. Very nice work. I've never done business with him myself, but he has a spotless reputation with alot of members on this board, and I would not be afraid to pay him in advance. I tell customers this daily. If you can get it cheaper somewhere else, then don't bitch about it, go buy it.
  15. Oh. That's one of those real time consuming kinds of things that I don't have the patience to do. It would be cool to learn, though.
  16. That's really not too bad considering a stock replacement is $2300.00 exchange.
  17. That's what I found while looking those up.
  18. If they give you any grief about the hood, go to another dealer. Water leaks can be hard to diagnose. You almost have to reproduce the exact scenario to find it in most cases, but should be able to be done. It may take them some time, though. Hopefully it's something simple like a weatherstrip, or clogged drain passage. Either way, they should fix it without question.
  19. I love the look of the Corsa tips, but they are pricey.
  20. Are you 2 or 4WD? The 2WD I believe is only a two piece on extended cabs.
  21. Since the Allison was used in GM light trucks, starting in 2001, I have seen 1 outright failure. Allison called it back for a complete inspection, and this was back in late 2001. Not saying that they WON'T/DON'T fail, but not very often. They were designed to tow heavy loads behind high torque engines.
  22. That's funny rite thar!!
