  1. That's why having "Supporting Vendors" is not neccessarily a good thing. It's good because you have members that sell and service parts/vehicles to help with the hobby. But, when there's a problem, and there will be a problem, who will the site admin support? The supporting vendor most of the time, no matter the circumstance. I believe there are cases where negative comments should be allowed, as long as it's kept civil. Someone should be able to express their discontent with a supplier, within reason, and the supplier should be able to respond. Kind of like a mediation to resolve the issue.
  2. My wife and I both suffer from depression, so I understand what your going through. As others have said, you're strong enough to share this with us, so you're strong enough to get help. You've made the biggest step. Most depression, from my personal reseach< is a chemical imbalance in the brain which is corrected with medication. There are probably as many depression medications out there as there are people, as each one works differently. What works for one wont for another. Talk with friends to get things off your chest, but please, SEEK PROFFESSIONAL HELP. Start with your family doctor, therapist, or someone, but whatever treatment regiment you decide to do, be honest about how you're feeling. It will help the doctor to make sure you're going in the right direction.
  3. Yes, it is an LSD. Lockers are too noisey for the general public. Ring gear size is 8.625".
  4. Find a rear out of a truck that has option code G80, and GT4 (3.73) or GT5 (4.10). The option codes are on a sticker in the glove box, and are listed in alpha numeric order from left to right. Post or PM me your vin and I can tell you what you have in your truck.
  5. I think if more people took a stand like that, then the crime rate would drop. I hope she's ok mentally.
  6. Wiring, switch on dash, and I bet it wont make a bit of difference on fuel economy.
  7. That's why it's been peaceful around here lately.
  8. Chevy needed to put a supercharger on the SS for sure. I do like the old Lightning, though. The 351W could be built to run damn good.
  9. I live in the DFW area, and it used to be like that here. Dallas county is an emissions county, and Collin and Denton were not. So, if you lived in Dallas county, you had to go there to get an inspection. Now just about the whole area is emissions counties. They don't really "LOOK" for it. They plug into the computer and it tells it what's going on. It reads the sensors to make sure everything is functioning properly. They don't even start it. Basically, if your tune is set for a 160* thermostat then you'll be fine.
  10. That's the way business used to be done. A handshake used to be your word. Still is to me.
  11. I just recently switched to Zaino. It's awesome stuff. I was a dedicated Meguire's user for years, which I still think they have a good product, but Zaino is my new favorite. Definitely the easiest to use.
  12. I remember those days. The brake test was that if it stopped when you pulled it in the shop, then they work. What part of Texas are you from?
  13. I've been done with classes for a little over 20 years.
  14. Come to think of it, you may have to send her some flowers every once in a while with a card that says, "I'm sorry". Don't know what for, but I'm sure it's something.
  15. I want to see how that works. I'm thinking of buying HP Tuners, but I would think they would look similar.
  16. I bet all the guys on here argueing the point about who's smarter are single guys. You see, us married men just want peace, and a piece every once in a while, so we just say,"Yes dear". I just want to watchthe game/race, take a nap, play with the truck, whatever, soI'm just gonna do whatever it takes to do those things. Trust me. It works.
  17. Dude!! That is a serious looking converter.
  18. That's some beautiful country out there. I've been to Colorado, which is about as close as I've gotten to Montana, but same setting. Mountains are cool.
  19. That would be great if they would do that here. It would probably cut down on driving incidents considerably, but, sadly, it'll probably never happen. We have too many liberal crybabies, and spineless lawmakers/politicians in this country to do anything that radical.
