  1. Chevy had to have made export taillights for the Silverado??? Anyway, just do what I did and spray tint them after you install the amber lenses. I've got a similar project in motion, I'm changing all my lighting from incandescent to LED, there's a little more to it I've discovered... As popular as the Siverado is you would think so, but all I can find are import tail lights for the SUVs.
  2. Ooh! I get it, you 2 must be Ford owners! That's a four letter word in my house. You'll get your mouth washed out with soap.
  3. Did you go through GM parts direct? $100 bucks is the best I could do, plus shipping. Expensive little base turds.
  4. They are already out. One of the guys that had an SS on here has one. Lefty, why not an Escalade EXT? It has the 6.2 and 400+ HP. And the 6 speed auto.
  5. I'm not a huge fan, but am a fan. I guess that would be equivalent to the Dallas Cowboys moving to another city. Jerry Jones would be facing a lynch mob if that happened.
  6. that would be nice but he is tryin to stay legal. The Dynatech Supermaxx headers with cats would be legal. That's what alot of people on here have done. Pricey though. $1200-1500. they are definately not cal carb legal. pretty sure mine say 49 state legal right on them. they are ford powerstroke cats anyways. but like i told nxtnline before, you have 6 years from new until you have to worry about smog. thus im running the dynatech's on mine. I thought they were. I guess I just saw that they are 49 state legal.
  7. I believe it is available with the 6.0. The 6.2 is just for the Denali/Ecalade line, along with the 6speed trans.
  8. Didn't he spend most of his career with the Penguins?
  9. Why's he "scamming the system"? He had a wreck, she is obligated to pay for the damages if she's at fault, no matter what his chosen profession is! It's just a fluke that his family's business happens to be a body shop and he can get the work done cheap. I really doubt that the woman picked him to collide with. Did he go looking to have a wreck? Looking at his truck, somehow I doubt it. The swoop and squat scam go looking for victims, and claim fake injuries. I see nothing wrong with what he's doing.

  11. You could sharoen the edge on the steels, and use them as oversized throwing stars.
  12. yes but a 5.0 is really a 4.9l but since ford had the 300ci I6 which was 4.9 so they rounded up and vannila ice got famous Yeah. That song wouldn't sound right saying 4.9. Not that it sounds right at all.
  13. True. My thing is that I don't think it's right for people to come in here illegally, get on welfare, make demands that we employ bilingual teachers, workers in our stores (a friend almost lost his job because he has a Spanish sirname but doesn't speak it), free healthcare, welfare, ect. while we foot the bill. Then to see them protesting that they want more. I have no problem with heritage, improving your situation, or becoming a citizen legally. Btw, what is the procedure for citizenship? Maybe that needs to be addressed.
  14. FWIW, Texas won it's independence from Mexico in 1836. Was it's own country, the Republic of Texas, form 1836-1846 when it was annexed as part of the US.
  15. GM list on a Chrome 20" for an SS is $1046.22 ea. Outreageous I know.
  16. Also, if you have a documented problem that occurs during the warranty period that is deemed "normal", and ends up failing because it's "not normal" outside the warranty period, within reason, it can/should be covered. In the case of Chevygal's yoke, it should have been covered. If the SM gave a damn about CS he would have done it. And age and sex should have nothing to do with it. It basically, if you're feeling descriminated against, comes down to what kind of person you're dealing with.
  17. I've worked in this business just over 20 years, and yes, the customer service of the big 3 still has something to be desired. But it is 180 degrees from what it was a few years ago, and the reason being are the imports stepping up and taking business away. They are feeding you a line of BS. You don't have to go to where you bought it. Warranty work can be performed at any Chevy dealer in the country. It just happens that you got a bad one. The service manager has a boss, as does the district service manager. As others have said, take you case to the next level, and you DO have a case. Go to the dealership's gemeral manager, or to the owner. Go to another dealer and plead your case, that helps us with our service. It makes us want to do what we can to get your business. Also what surprises me is that all dealers are graded on CSI (customer service index), which GM takes very seriously. For some reason you have got ahold of someone that doesn't want to handle the problem, but keep at it and you will find someone that will. Personally, I don't like to see these kind of problems, especially if they escalate to a point where people are turned off by GM, because that inevitably cuts into my pocket.
  18. Make sure your fluid is full and clean. Even 1 quart can make a significant difference in temps.
