  1. Sad to let her go, but I'm ready for something new. 137,000 miles. Tinted windows, K&N cold air intake, Corsa sport cat back exhaust, custom PCM programming. New tires and brakes within the last 6 months. I could possibly let my EFI live programmer go with it if interested, otherwise if will be for sale as well.

Asking $11,000. Located in the Twin Cities area of MN.

    PM me if interested.

  2. ccgoodwrench,

Have you resolved this issue? I think I am having the same problem right now. I get repeated P0446 codes and have just been clearing them via EFILive. I pulled the lines from the vent canister on my truck and saw no fuel. My truck died yesterday as I pulled into a parking lot and then idled very rough, so I am thinking I may have a vacuum leak somewhere. A few minutes later everything was back to normal though.

BTW, do you have to drop the fuel tank to get at the vent solenoid?

  3. I was under the impression that going higher than 90psi with the force motor was bad for it. Not sure I want to go that route. I thought decreasing shift time and taking out torque management would have a greater effect. My tune has no change to line pressure for the WOT shifts.

  4. How firm can you get a stock transmission to shift with tuning changes. I plan on a shift kit in the future but have been playing with the transmission settings with EFI Live over the last few days. I notice a slightly firmer shift at part throttle, but nothing real noticeable at WOT.

I have cut torque management on upshfits by 75%, deleted all other TM, reduced shift times to 0.2s, and bumped up line pressure 20psi across the board without going higher than 90 psi.

  5. I'm pretty fired up because UPS delivered my EFI Live today :driving: . I have been researching and reading for a long time. I got everything setup and saved my stock tune.

I was looking around in the transmission calibrations and noticed that Abuse Mode kicks in at 5% TPS and 1500 RPM. Does this mean that Torque Reduction is almost always affecting a stock truck, or do other conditions need to exist to make Abuse Mode kick in.

I also plan on doing some VE tunning soon. Does weather have any affect on this since the MAF will be unplugged. Its near 0 deg in Minnesota right now. I would think this would make the engine seem more volumetrically efficient since the air is denser.

    Thanks

  6. That was me in the Gibbs truck. I was on my way to Tousleys to look at a scooter with my girlfriend. The trucks did sound cool though. I put a boost gauge and an interceptor scan gauge on the pillar. Other than that it's still got the stock radix tune and pullies (5psi boost). The blower comes on almost instantly.

Always good to see some cool SS trucks. Most people by Duluth in SS trucks would never have even stepped on it going down the road.  :driving:

Are you from Duluth or the Twin Cities? I was actually hoping it might have been someone from this site that is why I posted about it. Hope to see you on the road some more.

  7. I was driving today and glanced in my rearview and thought I saw another SS coming up behind me. As it got closer I noticed it was a Joe Gibbs truck. Sure enough he weaves traffic and pulls up next to me. He got a little jump because I didn't get on it until I heard his blower starting to whine. The sound of the corsa exhausts screaming from both trucks was awesome :chevy: . The SS stayed right on his tail even though it wasn't much of a race because he let off, waved, and turned off almost right away. Good to see a friendly guy with good taste in vehicles though. The only people that seem to want to play around here are little punks with cars that have a primer paintjob, 4 mismatched wheels, and a 8" fartcan out the back.
