  1. I wanna know more about the hood as well...Nice.
  2. 04 Silverado(sig) 92 Trecel 2 door 4 banger 4 speed (DD) until I find a 4x4 to replace it with 77 Glastron Carlson CVX20 jet boat 455 Olds (bored to 461) Berkley jet. Restored by my father and me.
  3. Leave the chrome alone, its a huge waste of time. If you have a body man with any kind of knowledge he can paint over it, and you'll never have to worry about it. Iv had 2 done(hit a deer), and about to do another.
  4. About how much is it costing to find a set of Z06 Calipers tho?
  5. These brackets make adding the the calipers a basic bolt on job, right?
  6. Thats EXACTLY what that car needs. Im not a fan of that generation at all, but you did get 1 hell of a deal on it for its condition. But definitely do a swap with the drivetrain and make that thing haul, and be economical doing it. Not to mention a bit of a sleeper considering those are "known" as the slow Vettes.
  7. 10G's is alot, but you gotta understand, these boxes are designed for the professional mechanic in mind. Do you realize how many times those doors and drawers open, or how much weight those tools are? Or how efficient he can be when his tools are right there at all times and organized. Craftsman and the like make good toolboxes, for most shadetree's, but they wouldnt last in the life of a true full time mechanic.
  8. +1 Bud Diesel (Budweiser) PBR or some type of Sam Adams
  9. Use the dish soap ONLY before you wax. Otherwise, use a car washing soap. Id say its going on too thick. I use a DA to apply wax. I do the entire truck, and let it set a few, then take it off with the DA. Never a haze. I too use the Meguiars compounds and a Megs. DA.
  10. 3 days after I picked it up. It had the chrome steelies on it, but I put the SSS wheels on and had the dealer reprogram for my speedo. Before the deer and stripes.
  11. The bumpers being painted isnt a problem at all. Scuff and shoot. I suggested the Tahoe front and rear bumpers b/c they are already painted. All youd have to do is smooth and paint the caps and pads. Using those bumpers will not make it "look like an SSS".
  12. Look for some Z71 Tahoe parts. Like the front and rear bumpers. They are already painted. Lost the moldings. You can get rid of that outline with some TLC and elbow grease. Try and find an SSS tailgate spoiler instead of the factory piece, just for a nice detail. Tinted 03+ tails, color match the handles and mirrors, HID's, ditch the tips, unless you just like that look.
  13. Something isnt right with those numbers. And I am not calling you a liar by any means. My 04 5.3 bone stock put down 230 to the wheels and and around 300 ft/lbs....so something is fishy there...and 18mpg in a 2000 is not odd...My dad's 2000 Z71 RCSB got 18 no matter what basically...his 07 Z71 RCSB hasnt gotten 18 yet...
  14. It does look nice, and I like the color. But where in the hell did another 38 hp/35 ft/lb of tq come from?
  15. When I first saw it, I thought it was bird shit, since they seem to love dropping bombs on my truck. Its the reflection of the clothesline T that I know use to hang things from when I paint.
  16. Makes the Hemi sound pretty good.
  17. I LOVE the flat black. I agree with bodyguard, that bike is screaming for some old school pinstriping. Sweet find, congrats.
  18. Nope its the same. I'm wanting to do a center exhaust pan, but I dunno how with a hitch...
  19. So my dad and I went to Bristol this weekend for the Cup race. Damn what a drive. 16 hours and about 800 miles total from where I am. I ran 75-80 as much as I could, minus the retards that dont understand the concept of 4 lane driving causing me to slow down, and driving in Bristol. Used just a little less than 40 gallons of gas. I was in the truck btw, so Im pretty happy with that. Anyways, the race, if no one saw, sucked. The new cars have ruined Bristol from an excitement standpoint. Heres the pics, I took alot more than this, but you get the idea. My spot wasnt the best spot to take pics of the cars close to me....
  20. I havent been around for a while...had alot of crap going on..Figured Id see what was new...Nothing has changed on my end as far as the truck goes, but I detailed it a couple weeks ago and figured Id showoff again..lol........I got a Meguiars DA in Louisville a couple weeks ago at the Street Rod Nats. Mainly got it cuz it was a good deal. The DA, about 6 different liquids and compounds, and 2 pads $150. I tried it on my truck and LOVED it. Very easy, and very effective. I just used the Show Car Glaze 7, and Wax 26, and then shot it with a Final Inspection Spray 34. I love th way it turned out. You cant tell it in the pics, but it really made the blue pop in person. crappy pic These were taken with a better camera. I didnt have batteries for it the first time.
