Here's the deal. Run a 8psi intercooled prcharger ss with nelson tune and built trans. Got 15000 miles out of the first built trans but blew it up driving the truck(AWD) like a mad man, putting the truck sideways at WOT. I'm young and stupid what can i say. Knew it was going to happen so I had it rebuilt again but left some of the minor parts that weren't destroyed in. 2000 miles go by and just the other day I was cruising at about 20 mph. Punched it, it downshifted into first but to my surprise it didn't go anywhere. Also 1-2 shift shifts hard as hell just cruising. when i get into the 3-4000 rpm range it tends to "slide"/weak shift into second and anytime i launch it, it won't lock up. Having newbie knowledge of transmissions, what do you think it could be? Solenoids, band problems? Thanks

Mr. P Pulling through for me once again! Good news is I still have my stock trans but I forgot to mention I'm on the west side of michigan going to school. I'm from the east side so it looks like I'm getting it towed. thanks for the support though. I was hoping someone went through the same thing but thanks for the Heads up on the prices. -T

Well its been a longgggg time since i've been on the forum. And because of it I think i lost my trans . I'm still new to the game but I put a procharger on my truck wiht a built trans out of an 02 escalade. Had a couple of people that haven't seen what it could do in the truck so I took off down hill right in front of my house. it dropped into first, took off great got stuck into second and I slammed on my brakes. As i came to a stop all i hear is a sort of whining and griding which i know isn't good. I ended up pushing it up into the driveway where it still sits. no first-4th but i forgot to check reverse. Did something break or do you guys think the whole trans is shot? Moneys tight and its my daily driver. so I'm looking for any feedback before i take it in and I would like to at least act like I know what I'm talking about haha... -T

Gotta go with the intake. Gotta have some go before you get some show. IMO, an intake isn't going to make a HUGE difference but it's definately worth a couple hundred bucks.

I'm using a procharger with stock headers, cats and exhaust. I know the long tubes are puttin' up numbers but I have some shortys lying around. I'm debating whether to throw em' on or keep the headers stock. What are you short header guys runnin' and did they help enough to put em on?

Anyone lookin' to get rid of their full size spare? Also anyone know what their rated at? To cold and lazy in Michigan to check right now. I wanna do a pass once on some 17s or 18s.

I've yet to see one... but you could be one of the first to do it. In my opinion I think it would look to chopy but then again I haven't seen any blue SS's with black wheels. Post pics if you find one. tj
