  4. I appreciate all your help! I think i will replace the pads and rotors and see what happens. Thanks again! -K-
  5. I appreciate the fast response! The rotors look fine to me. No grooves, or any sign that they are warped. Of course she likes to slam the brakes pretty good when comin to a stop sign! Do you think I should just replace the rotors? Thanks again! -K-
  6. My girl has a 2004 grand am, and when you get on the brakes the front end shakes and the steering wheel shakes pretty good too. This only happens at about 70MPH+. If you stomp on them pretty hard it does not do it. only at about 30% - 60% pressure. I've checked the brakes and all looks good. Plenty of pad, rotors are smooth, no discoloration, and everything spins smoothly. I think it may be an out of balance tire, but wanted some opinions if you guys don't mind. I just don't want to deal with a wheel bearing or a cv joint. tie rod, ball joints, etc. all look good. Any ideas on what else to look for would be greatly appreciated. Car has 77,XXX mi on it and was just safety inspected last week. TIA -K-
  7. I dont think so, but i'm honestly not sure. Maybe someone else will chime in on that. I did not need one when I put on my spindles. I beat the crap out of the knuckle, then "moved" the knuckle around a bit, then continued to beat the crap out of it. eventually the joints and tie rods just "popped" loose. I can't believe you can't beat it off. How many miles are on your steering knuckles? -K-
