Here's where I always get confused - knowing little. I already have a pcm tune (pcmforless). Shifts are pretty tight, esp. 1-2. If I went one of these routes - servos or kit - would I have to send for a new tune? Is there a handheld I could use and just do it myself? Could my mechanic just figure it out...?

I just got my truck back from the dealer - they replaced the shaft at 13k under warranty. Not only is the clunk gone but the steering is noticeably tighter. It felt like a fat pig before, now it feels like an SS. So I wanted to ask... Clunking aside, has anybody else noticed that the steering is just crappy when the defective stock shafts start to go? And is this a safety issue? If it is, then isn't a recall in order? Lovin' my new steering .......

Looks like I probably need a new front wheel ('05 SSS) - the dealer quoted me $1,000 and 4-5 days to ship. Before I whip out the credit card is there anywhere else I should look for a better price?

we had a freak snow storm here right at rush hour and freezing rain on top of it. took 2 hours to wind through 7 miles of stuck cars. my AWD passed everything on the road. the only SRT I saw was empty, sideways, and on the sidewalk.

Best one is the Onstar button on the left side. If you have any speed dials stored and you accidentally touch that button the voice comes on: "number please .... number please", and then if you don't shut it off it randomly dials one of your numbers. wtf..

It's frrreeezzzing cold here and I'm getting some noise from the sun roof. Can't figure out if it's the cold hardening the seals or the rock hard chunk of ice stuck right above the windshield. Either way, is a dab of vaseline once in a while a good trick?

My '05 SSS has about 9500 miles, and I'm beginning to notice something weird in the steering when taking gentle corners. It's very faint, but definitely there, a kind of looseness, a pulsing feedback, kinda like a thunk-thunk-thunk, that's so barely there you think you might be imagining it. Never noticed it before and just wondering if this is something that happens with these trucks, is it a regular maintenance issue, or a known defect, or .... Just looking for ideas to tell the shop. And is this warranty stuff I should take to the local shyster dealer, or can I go to my favorite hot rod shop down the street?

I have a pcmforless tune, volant CAI, magnaflo catback, run Amsoil synthetic oil, and am pinned at 13.9 mpg in pure city driving. I've seen 15.9 on long highway trips.
