I got a new intercooler We went to the track and mrs drove, first run 11.2 , and had to abort her second run because she got the truck a little bit sideways . Then it was rain stop play. The good news is the inlet air temps were half that of last year. Should be good for more boost this season. looking for some lighter wheels and drag radials now. Does anyone know if 18" rims will go over SSBC 14' rotors and suggestions for rims and tires much appreciated.

I Quite liked the idea of the strange street/strip kit you mentioned NolletSSS , so I sent strange an e-mail asking the ? and they say they don't do a kit that fits our trucks at all. I will have to see what Moser have to say if they don't do a kit I will have to see about getting one made over here in the UK

2004 ss awd 10 bolt, anyone done a c clip delete and if so do you have any part numbers. I have done a bit of research and it seems there are two different size bearings on the 10 bolts, does anyone know the size of the bearing on our trucks. I am putting quite a bit of hp to the wheels now and feel this is something I should do. Any help much appreciated.

Stock wheels and tires,I bet the tires are the original ones from new, trucks only done 22k miles. I would like to get some lighter weight rims and some drag radials, can't just buy that sort of stuff over here though have to ship it over from the states.

Cheers Guys, The motor is a LSX 427 twin turbo gt 35r, with a FLT level 5 4l80e, Aeromotive eliminator fuel pump -12 feed -10 return, 2 piece steel prop shaft and diff brace. SSS in the UK I know of four two black two blue, two are members on here Eamonnechevy (He's sold his sss and bought a bentley) and Gary. Couple of runs of my truck at Santapod raceway UK. first run after rebuild on 600 bhp tune second run getting better still need work. suspension work needed over winter caltracs front straps and shocks , should be good to go.

Nice looking setup, are you going to use turbo blankets and wrap the hot pipes or just rely on coating, that monster of a motor is going to make a lot of heat

Talked to Nathan at HP performance today and he as told me he as got a truck coming in Monday and he should have the problem with the header resoveld by Thursday and will have the header shipped out the following week. lets hope it all comes off. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Eamonn, It's a shame I've got to sit about while they find an awd truck, still, It'll be worth it in the end. I went with a FLT level 5 4l80e I had the 4l65 beefed up but decided it wouldn't hold up to the power levels we are aiming for, hoping to make about 800 bhp. Pleased to hear your truck is back on the road, must be a nice feeling after such a long wait.

I think this is what happened, they tell me they are having trouble getting a awd truck, so they can check things out. So if anyone is in New Mexico and are passing HP performance could you drop in and let them take a look, I'd appreciate it. thanks.

Am I right in thinking the 2wd trucks have a steering rack and the awd have a steering box and that could be a reason there is an issue with it fitting No it's not a car kit, this is one of their truck kits

I've got a problem with the steering shaft not clearing the header. I have bought a twin turbo kit from HP performance in New Mexico and I don't think they realised there was a difference between a two wheel drive truck and awd. Nathan from HP performance Has asked if there is anyone in New Mexico , Roswel, 301 E 4th st who has a Awd chevy and would be willing to drop by their shop so they could take a look and maybe help them to sort this problem out. Hi guys, I'm having a 408 lsx engine built and my question is , the cam sensor on the lq9 is in the rear of the block and on the lsx it's on the front in the timming cover, is the signal generated for the pcm the same or will the pcm need to be modified. Thanks Ivan
