  1. Best clone I've ever seen. Could have fooled me, and I usually have a good eye for that. Except when the doors open that is not very SS at all, but also the tailgate has the standard top on it so from behind it I may have been a little more of an unbeliever. I can't believe someone would strip the interior but I also have a hard time believing that they made a perfect clone but forgot the tailgate. We may never now, I didn't look that hard so I'm sure someone will better dissect it in a second.

  2. Yea, I've looked at it, dont want to spend thousands on it though... I have rear drums and would love 4 wheel Disc, but then again, not looking to spend thousands.

Looking for a upgrade in brakes, without "braking" the bank... Pun intended

With all that T-shirt and hoodie money you just received, I figured you'd be rolling around with a new set of Brembos. :jester: ha kidding of course

  3. Awesome! What engine are you going with? Are you a pilot? Flying is my job, hobby, and some would even say my lifestyle! Good choice makin it a taildragger, thats way more fun if you are doing it for pure entertainment purposes! Good luck, wish you could have kept the SS as well but hey a plane is good too!

  4. Yah a 4 door Wrangler has alot more room than an extended cab silverado. I know for a fact I am going to miss the 6.0l, but the new Jeep Wrangler motor dos have 282 horsepower instead of the old 202 horsepower. If my truck was awd or 4wd I wouldnt even be getting rid of her...

I have a new one, you will miss the 6.0L. For the record though, I do have 35s on it :jester: so that greatly effects mine. Interstate driving BLOWS!!! that isnt why i bought it though, and i love it!

  5. I have my SS and a four door Rubicon... jeep is sweet and I guess in comparison to the truck it is "roomy" so you will enjoy it! But I can promise you, you will miss that Vortec Max, especially if you drive on the interstate a lot or pull any kind of trailer, and I mean ANY trailer. I usually pull with the SS but wanted to take my jeep to Arizona with me to play in the desert and also wanted to take my crotch rocket... my trailer is small and light and the bike isnt heavy either but man was that trip a pain in the @$$! Love the jeep, it is my DD but man i really wish i had the time to put a supercharger or do an LS swap cause it has no balls, none at all. On the flip side i bought it for off road and in four low there is way more power with my rubi 4.10s and 4:1 transfer case than I could ever need! So depending on what you do with it, you will truly LOVE the jeep!!!

  6. Yeah that is kickaSS man! How was that done? Is it decals or some kinda dip/paint? I want to do a black carbon fiber look on my fuse box and other plastic pieces... my engine covers and black with blue flames, bought them form Dentguy when he sold his truck. Picture is to big to attach :/

  7. Deer cameras boys! Put you a Deer/animal camera that snaps their dang picture to just in case they do make off with it! Maybe put it in a hard to reach place and leave the flash on to spook them or turn the flash off so they dont see it and try to bust it to! This, of course, in addition to other security elements.

  8. Assuming the motor makes the same power (or more?) after the TB swap - any change that lowers boost while maintaining output power is A Good Thing, it means that the engine is making the same power with much more efficiency; IATs should read lower as a result (also A Good Thing) and lower IATs are very important with today's fuels, also the improvement in manifolding should allow a change to a more aggressive pulley (more boost!).

But, just because one changes the TB doesn't necessarily mean the compressor will deliver more air to the engine - hence the complaint that spending $400-500 on a TB swap did not make the truck faster at the track. To deliver more air to the engine, you need to speed-up the impeller (i.e. smaller pulley). What your friend should have done after the TB swap was to get a pulley a couple sizes smaller and get the boost back up to 12-lbs - this would almost certainly guarantee that the blower is delivering all the CFM it was designed to do. More CFM + more fuel = more fire!

    Remember, air is "stretchy stuff".

    Mr. P. :)

Understood, thanks for the input. To truly know the truth to what I'm asking I would need dyno results for the truck with the SAME size pulley on the two different TBs. May only read 8lbs of boost with a larger TB but getting the same power as 12lbs on the stock size simply because the supercharger is forcing the same air into a smaller place, I believe i said this correct. I'll never stop modding the truck so I'm gonna buy the larger TB haha. In all honesty I just wanna keep my sweet engine covers since they are painted haha and changing to the larger intake on top, I think, will remove the location that it bolts on to the motor! Oh well, the aftermarket FAST intakes look sick anyway!!! Plus, I can sell the cover for the intake money, woohoo!!!

  9. I almost let mine go, couldn't follow through with it a luckily things have been really going my way and I can afford to let it sit around as a play toy now. BEST IDEA EVER! This thing really is a "part" of me, and a big part at that. These SSS trucks are really something, I mean I surf the web from time to time and never see people as attached to vehicles as a lot of us are to these trucks. Can not describe it but anyways it all comes down to the individual.... if you can afford to keep it, you will be happy... and if you sell it then I'm sure you will be fine to, I just couldn't.

  10. Thanks for the positive responses guys. As for the tires, our broke government was throwing away those brand new tires for no reason so I asked if I could have them. I'm posting them on Craigslist tonight and hopefully I make enough to cover te damages. Do you guys think the weight from those tires had anything to do with it?

First off man, sorry to hear about your bad luck. Those tires are pretty heavy and since your truck is lowered the weight could have put pressure on the truck that it wasnt designed to take and with it being lowered and all it could have transferred to the drive shaft. I dont know if that makes any sense but I see the same thing with lifted trucks all the time... people life and lower vehicles which looks awesome and I love it but I havent dropped my SS yet because the factory height is where GM tested all the parts and angles so I'm afraid the drivetrain isnt designed to move at the angles droppin or raising it would put it at. That being sad Im gonna lower the keys and maybe some shackles in the rear. However, sitting as low as your and lookin that sweet I'm thinkin damages drivetrain. Any of you Pros have any thoughts on how lowering trucks effect the drivetrain?

  11. that silver looks good on that blue. they should last a long time just watch the edges with your towel when washing and drying around it. i would aslo recommend taking them off after 2-3 years max just because it is protecting your paint under the vinyl and your paint of your car is fading in the sun everyday so the decal will be ghosted in your paint if left in the sun for years because the paint under the decal will be like the same as the day you put it on if that makes sense lol .

Yeah i love the silver and blue, thats why i put silver stripes on my truck ha but my vinyl stripes had a lot of metallic in them to shine and the damn things ruined the paint under neath from getting so hot, last time i took them off to replace them the paint under neath looked like leopard skin... it was nuts but this time im gonna paint them on and i think ill throw some of these decals on unless i can connivence myself i can paint that haha... anyway the biggest mistake i probably made was not protecting the vinyl so im thinking ill do these decals same time as my stripes and clear coat them in! idk
