  1. Congrats on your new SS. Your going to love it. I know I love mine.... Welcome to the forum as well....
  2. What ever you do dont just walk away saying do it or no deal. You maybe a good customer but there are enough people waiting for these thatr they wont care if you walk away. In fact if you do walk away it benifits them in that they can now sell it for much more to someone else who is not willing to wait for a special order. I checked and there are 2 dealers in my "area" Vistory Red Z06 (2LZ)'s in their inventory. BOB MCDORMAN CHEVROLET INC. 5885 GENDER RD AND RTE 33, CANAL WINCHESTER, OH 43110 DAN YOUNG TIPTON, LLC 875 E JEFFERSON ST, TIPTON, IN 46072 The one in Tipton has Ebony Leather and the one In Canal has Cobalt Red Leather. If the dealer incures additional costs for trading then they should cover the cost since it was there F*up in the first place. As far as what they should do to make it up to you... covering the additional costs of a trade should be good. Allowing you to drive the Yellow one in the mean time would be a bonus. Everyone knows that even if you drove it for 4 months they could still get their money out of it.
  3. We do have the LQ9? I was getting confussed since "ChevySSandChevy8.1" said we do have the LQ9 but then stated that the LQ9 was not available in 03. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He didnt day it wasnt available, he was just stating that it wasnt for any other truck..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OK I can see that now... I miss read what he was saying..... Thanks for the clarification...

  5. I knew of most of the cosmetic things. I can also see from the original window sticker I have the 6L. When I checked Chevy's 2003 web site it says that the SS came standard pumping out 345 hp. I was wondering what they did mechanically to get that additional 45 horse. Unless Im mistaken the stock 6L in 03 was only pushing a bit over 300 hp.
  6. Other than AWD and a 3.5 inch exhaust what was done to make the Silverado an SS? Certainly the larger exhaust doesnt account for the 40-60 hp gain the SS had over a stock Silverado....
