I just picked up an aftermarket head unit (Audivox PAV- 151ODTV) w/DVD,flip screen, TV. Got it off a guy who had it in his '02 GMC Yukon XL,
I put it in my "02 Suburban, every thing worked but the sound. It already had the adaptor for the truck, the diff between his Yukon and my Suburban is, I have On-Star and rear stereo controls, he had neither. Do I need any adaptors? Any input is appreciated

Have you looked at the Toyota FJ Cruiser, too small? Don't know much about them, price seems reasonable, just a thought.

Probably not what you were expecting, anyways, our 2 year old Rat Terrier "Taz" made his first real kill the other day.
While I was chillin on the back porch, Taz is huntin lizards and such, suddenly, my daughter screams and I turn my head just in time to see
Taz with this black snake in his mouth and shaking his head violently for a couple of seconds then drops it, game-over. He played with the snake for several minutes after but usually only when the snake would move or continue striking back. After a while I put the snake out of its misery and buried it. I must say I was pretty impressed, always wondered if his breeding would shine in the right oppurtunity. Yeah I know, it aint no rat, but this probably why we don't have rats.

My daughter has been complaining that I need to build her some steps, but I still wouldn't put nerf bars on an SSI looked into those retractable ones, too expensive, I'll just keep ignoring her long enough for her to keep growing into my truck

I've got one from an '02 suburban, same mirror minus turn signal. It's kinda busted but keeping it for spare parts just in case.
If you do follow up on this and find that you can't get one cheap enough, I could loan you this one

I don't know if this has been addressed here yet but, my wifes in an '02 suburban w/ the analog OnStar unit.
GM decided in '03 I believe to go digital, later this year all OnStar service will be converted to digital.
It seems that I heard there may be an expensive conversion available for digital service
We can't afford to upgrade vehicles yet, probably for quite a while
Does anyone have any insight on this and who else is pissed that GM is leaving us hanging like this

On the SS the limiter cuts in at 160kph I think, I know everyones probly wanting to increase that, but for the time being I might want to decrease it to 120kph to avoid more speeding tickets for a while! . Is that within the adjustment scope of OBD-II?, thanks

Those guys def make some "unique" hoods. That one looks cool IMO. I know they manufacture everything in-house.
Their reputation I'm somewhat unsure of, I know they changed their name at some point but have basically been in business for a long time, maybe 18+ years? They actually posted on this site about wanting to use one of our trucks to finish fabrication for 03-04 hoods, I called them and scheduled a weekend to drive about 2.5hrs to their shop and loan my truck. They called me to reschedule due to some bugs in the new hood. After not hearing back for a while, I finally got in touch with them, they said they decided to rent a truck for a few days.

That's my only experience with them, they are located in Bradenton, south of Tampa,FL. Is it me or do they not advertize pricing on their site(s)
