I think he is lying about the expensive tuning from Nissan. As far as I know there is no tuning software out for titans. The only option they have is some little black box thing, it doesn't do much though. And nice kills You should drive you ride next time though!

1. I noticed my exhaust got quieter too, I think alot of it is mainly because the noise of the intake overpowering the sound of your exhaust. If you stand outside your truck and have someone drive by it may sound alittle louder. Intakes tend to bring out a more agressive tone from your engine area, I like it. I think it is a good compliment to the sound of a truck. 2. I also noticed the need to give more foot in the pedal to get things goin. I don't really like that. I thought the tuning would change that but it didn't at all, I probably should have mentioned it before I got it tuned though . Seems like at some points there is alot of play in the pedal. I am actually not even possitive if that is from the intake alone though. 3. The whistle is deffinatly normal. All intakes usually produce a whistle. I have had 3 different intakes on my vehicles and all of them whistle, its just part of the build of the systems i guess, and how they pull the air in. Hope some of this helps.

Its a 2005, I ride at the dunes and I'm usually lugging it. It gets pretty clunky sometimes. Its either lugging in 3rd or revved out in 2nd it seems...

I ride at the sand dunes. And I mostly just cruise and jump. I just got back into riding, haven't done it in like 10 years. These 450r's come stock with alot of power.

Kyle, I know most of the builders and pipe fabbers ... To give you a choice on a good pipe, I need to know your mods and your intended mods, because to get the MOST out of a pipe, I need to know where and how your motor makes power ... In that, if you want the BEST pipe for overall performance that will make it actually feel like you made an improvement, the SPARKS RACING 2" core X5 pipe would be my choice ... (I have run 4 or 5 different pipes on my R and I run the sparks X6 witht he 2 1/4" BIG core) ... The pipe has some things other pipes on the market don't have, on dyno results you DO NOT want to look at HP max or curve, you want to look at the pipe that makes the BROADEST and BIGGEST (flat and overall) torque curve ... The TQ that comes on earliest, holds the longest and is broadest is what accelerates a quad ... NOT max HP However, if you still have the stock cam, you are wasting your money on a full system ... In this case, go with the HMF slip-on sport or the DR. D (dubach racing) slip-on ... The stock Honda header is very adequate with a slip-on if you have not upgraded the stock cam ... and I wouldn't think you have increased compression without doing the cam ... my .02 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So far I am all stock. I don't think I wanna go crazy moding the quad. If I do I cam it won't be for a couple seasons. For now I am just thinkin about exhaust, jetting, and air box/filter. What are your thoughts on these systems: DASA, Rossier, ESR?

Yeah I was thinkin about gettin that. Then I just decided I wanted to do a full exhaust for now then maybe throw a cam in later down the road. Thanks for the link though.

I ride dunes. And with a couple other mods I've seen some of these systems make a additional 10HP on dyno charts.

I've already been all over the 450R site, and they all say that white bro's aren't that good. I've seen dyno charts that have convinced me. I just wanted to bring up the topic on here since the site has seemed kinda dead lately and I wanted the SS bro's opinions. So far I'm thinkin about DASA, Rossier, ESR or HMF I just got back into riding so thats why I'm kinda lost.

I have a 2005 Honda TRX450R. Its all stock except for the ITP rims and paddles. I wanna put a full exhaust system on it but I can't decide which one to go with. Anyone else ride on here and have some suggestions?

Me too, Thats why I sent the 20's to the powdercoater last week They were supposed to be done this week but I guess maybe they'll be done monday? I used the high flow cats that come with the dynatech system that I got. I'm off to buy some paddles!

Thanks! Its all stock for now, focus has been more on my truck. After this season I'll probably wanna put a pipe on it and stuff. Also I'm gonna powdercoat the wheels black. I can't wait to get it out in the sand!
