  1. mcgaughys part number 33033 air bag helper designed for 4 inch drop in the rear. thanks
  2. i have never had good luck latly with the bell shocks and 3 yrs ago i had a set of dostech shocks pull apart on me and they refused to give me new shocks, (they were only on the truck for 1 month. i like the new mcgaughys gas shocks that there having made. nice and stiff, ive had them on my 08 silverado for 6 months now no problems thanks
  3. il like the hellwig bars nice install ive never done one on a rear of a truck, but i know they make them.
  4. like he said youll need the hangers
  5. hi there is only about 100-200 of those bell spindles and you have to have bought them about 3 yrs ago. they only got to make that many befor mcgaughys forced bell to discontinue in a federal court.
  6. hi im in madera california. not sure where abouts you are but i can talk to you on the phone if you need that kind of assistance thank you tim
  7. hi as far as i can remember they are the same part number. if your alignment is off evern with your torsion bars turned down you probably have the new spindle. the onlder one you should be able to drop 5 inches in the front and still align. when did you purchase the spindles. thank you tim
  8. your right i did forget the link here it is now http://timssuspensiononline.com/SPINDLECOMPARISON.html sorry its been a long day with tons of things on my mind
  9. here is a link to a comparison of the new bel spindle to the factory spindle as well as the mcgaughys spindle. thanks tim
  10. I installed a djm kit on a 3/4 ton truck about 5 yrs ago and had it back in my shop twice to replace the broken a frame that it had also what bel spindle do you have. is it the new style or old style like i said befor the old style (copy of mcgaughys) i never had problems with. but i only lowered one truck with the new style and could not get the front end to align. with the camber kit. it was still out about 1 degree. i took them off and the camber kit and installed a mcgaughys spindle and the truck aligned perfectly. like i stated befor everyone has there own opinions.
  11. hi any mechanics shop should be able to do the instalation for you if they just simply follow the instructions provide. just take it to a good dependable mechanics shop. thank you tim
  12. hi no i have installed competitors kits and have had problems. the first bel spindle that was a clone of mcgaughys was good untill they were forced to stop making them the new spindle they offer is 1.5 inches taller than stock which is why some guys have problems with alignments. that is also why they now offer offset bushing and camber kits. i now will not install any of there components. i still have guys calling me asking me to install a bel kit or djm kit on there trucks but i no longer want the liabilty of those kits or the headache. sorry for my spelling i know its horible. when i was in high school thats all i use to use was bel they were the top of the line product but now it seams like mcgaughys in the new top dog. thats just my opinon everbody has there own beliefs. thank you tim
  13. hi tim take the truck out and see how it drives. when you lower the front of these trucks 3 inches you start to put the cv axles in a bind, and if you hit a good bump or pot hole you could brake your cv axle. mostlikly you only have about 2.5 inches of drop which is better. that is the only thing up front that you need to worrie about. the rest will be fine. thank you tim
