  5. sorry i guess i suck at typing. he recommended at .581 lift 220/224 111 lsa. longer duration on exhaust help for torque?? how does that sound?
  6. talked to one of there sales/tech guys and he recommended doing a custom grind of 200/224 and 11 lsa to get the lumpy idle i want and still be ok with stock converter. sound good??

  8. it is stock a 4l80e. other than that it will be tuned via efi live and k&n intake and dual 3 inch flowmaster exhaust
  9. that sounds pretty good! what about the kits that texas speed sells? 589.00 with cam, springs,push rods,retainers/keepers i believe. and also i dont plan on pushin this engine over 6k do i really need springs and or pushrods??
  10. i have a 2006 sierra 2500hd crew cab with the 6.0 4l80e trans and 4:10 gears. its 4x4 with a 4 inch lift and 33x12.50/18 tires. i do pull a boat in the summer with this truck but most of my driving is in town. i am wanting a cam that will sound very aggressive(110 lsa???) yet still provide the bottom end torques i need. ideas?/?

  12. what would the difference be between the 224xe and the 224r that texas speed offers? that and maybe a 110 lsa. more than anything i really want a mean idle. what is gna be the best for that idea? thanks jesse
  13. have you checked your MAF sensor. i had kinda the same issue, and the maf was dirty mainly from the oil off of the k&n air filter. worth a shot, they need to be cleaned every once in a while anyway.
  14. i have a kn intake, flowmaster dual 40s, trans mods ur shift kit tbtc servos all that stuff in trans . plan on cam of course plus headers and a tune is about it for mods. i tow a light jet boat and thats it just a daily driver. i want a cam mainly for sound and performance but i really want an aggrrsive sounnding cam most important aspect for me. thanks
  15. when does that open up? says 1800-6400 rpm??? that tc stalls around 2400 y not? what would be better??

I am most possibly going to get a cam for my truck(03 silv SS) here in a month or so. tryin to decide what to go with?? i have read alot of these forums till cant decide what. the only one im liking is the texas speed V.2 with 112 lsa i want the rough idle gota have it. but for mods i have trans built with TBTC, k&n intake,flowmaster exhaust, and will have it tuned locally when i get the cam.i am prolly not going to be doin much more for mods besides headers shortly after the cam i think. what should i go with??? thanks

  20. I NOW HAVE MY TRANNY OUT FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A WEEK. I HAD INSTALLED THE TRAILBLAZER TQ , ZIPPY KIT,"THE BEAST" SUN SHELL, ALTO RED 3-4 CLUTCH PAK,KEVLAR BAND. MY TRANS BROKE AFTER 3 DAYS- MY SPRAG BROKE AND RUINED PRETTY MUCH ALL THE CLUTCHES IN MY TRANS. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO MAKE THIS TRANNY BULLET PROOF/ WHAT OTHER WEAK LINKS IS THERE? SO I DONT HAVE TO WORRY BOUT HAVIN MY TRUCK BACK IN THE SHOP. I WANT TO REPLACE ALL MY CLUTCHES JUST BE FRESH SO NO WORRIES!! THANKS ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED
  21. ok so we took apart the trans today to discover that the sprag was broke to hell, and the forward clutch spring or whatver it is broke as well. burned my brand new 3-4 clutch pak my band a lil and my over run clutches. yeah that sux, bad thing is the guy is doin all this for free and he is a friend of mine, i feel bad as it is, but i wana make sure this wont happen again!!!! what do i need to replace to make this more stout and bulletproof???? any suggestions please . thanks
  22. Same exact thing happened to my truck, no first gear at all and the sprag was blown to pieces im sure now thats whats up. ill find out on monday and let u know
