  1. I'm not sure it would hurt power...if it typically has to spin the front wheels, it seems like you'd pick up a little power by NOT having to spin the front wheels.... As far as frying the transfer case, you'd be fine. Virgil used to dyno his SS with the front driveshaft removed and it didn't hurt anything.

  3. The 4L60E Hughes deep pan, gasket, bolts, and deep pan filter kit is $172.00 plus shipping on Summit. The 4L60E Corvette servo is $17 plus shipping on Oregon Performance Transmission. The pan is scraped from being on a low-to-the-ground F-body. I'll sell the pan, gasket, bolts, and filter for $150 shipped. The pan and bolts will be cleaned prior to shipping. I'll sell the servo for $20 shipped. I feel the prices are pretty fair so if you want everything listed, the price is still $170 shipped. I'm putting this on about six sites...it will sell...so if you want it, let me know. First one to PayPal the funds gets it. No holding, dibs, etc.
  4. Mesquite, TX...I can ship no problem though.
  5. Had this made at my work, it's a 1/2" Plexiglas (acrylic) battery box. Holes are already drilled for the battery cables and for the battery anchor bracket. There are two 1/8" aluminum plates (visible inside the box in the pictures) that I had cut. The intent was to place one inside the box and the other outside the box so that the clamping force of the bolts when installing would be on the aluminum rather than the acrylic. Battery boxes on Summit run $80 or more for anything half way decent. This box is chemically welded and screwed together. The thing is pretty freaking stout. The stupid thumbscrews on top were $5 by themselves. $5 x 8 = $40 just for those things. $75 in person, $100 shipped.
  6. I'm getting out of the racing scene. I got these from Stewart and have only put about 5 passes on them with pretty light burnouts. I know Stewart was previously known for massive burnouts lol, but he said he's learned that less is more on the burnouts and his burnouts on these were light as well. These still have plenty of passes left on them. Pushing 600rwhp I didn't have any loss of traction at the track. $400 and they're yours. The wheels are studded/screwed to the tires. This is a killer setup for someone. No shipping, no trades. Thanks for looking.
  7. Yep - my wife was going to bust some @$$ at this years meet, but we're getting out of the racing scene. Yes it's a pink bottle. YES it can be easily painted or stripped. I really want to sell this as a complete kit. If you want individual pieces, you're going to have to make it worth my while to split everything up. What's Included: Nitrous Outlet Plate ($260 at Nitrous Outlet) Nitrous Outlet Bottle Heater ($126 at Nitrous Outlet) Nitrous Outlet 16' Triple Insulated -6 Nitrous Line ($108 at Nitrous Outlet) Nitrous Outlet Fuel Solenoid ($100 at Nitrous Outlet) Nitrous Outlet Nitrous Solenoid ($100 at Nitrous Outlet) Nitrous Outlet Purge Solenoid ($70 at Nitrous Outlet) NOS 10# (empty) Bottle w/Gauge & Brackets. The bottle and handle are powdercoated pink. It can be removed or painted over. Harlan Window Switch, never used. All lines and fittings shown in the installed pictures as well as the lines and fittings shown in the laid out parts picture. Everything is setup to bolt directly onto a TBSS but can obviously be used for any LS vehicle. $400 and it's yours. $475 shipped.
  8. Some of you are familiar with my truck, but for those that aren’t, all specs can be found in My Garage. I’ll add more to this thread this evening. This price will include the slicks and race wheels, the helmet, and the custom acrylic battery relocation box. The methanol kit will not be included. I’m starting this at $15,000. I’m open to reasonable offers. No trades.
  9. I love the hood (and of course the Stingrays). Looks nice Danny.
  10. Red SS with a silveradoss.com sticker on the back glass... Nice truck...the revs were just to say "hey".
  11. If you want to hear the story, keep reading. If not, just scroll down, look at the pictures, and buy 'em. I originally obtained two pieces of a three-piece cover set from Virgil. I kept looking for the third piece and finally found a guy selling a complete three-piece kit. So I bought that to get the third piece I needed. Well the third piece was cut about 2/3 of the way back. It's not bad, you can just see more of the top of the engine than I personally want to show. So Colton (Dumpd04) bailed me out and gave me a great deal on a complete (be still my heart) three-piece set. So I finally have the set I want so these are up for sale as well as the two pieces I got from Virgil. This set looks pretty nice. I painted them with Krylon Fusion and cut the right side of the middle piece so it's even (obsessive compulsive lol) with the left side. The piece that was cut when I bought it (passengers side) has split by the thin portion that wraps the oil filler spout. Totally has no impact on the cover and basically not visible when installed. $85 shipped, $75 picked up.
  12. Got these from Virgil...just never got the 3rd piece. They were powdercoated - some stuck some didn't so I got off what I could. The rest was baked on by the heat of the engine I believe. Since it's in somewhat obscure areas, I left what wasn't coming off easily and figured it could be painted. They look pretty good painted with Krylon Fusion spray paint. Pics show progression of cleaning covers. I would like $50 shipped. I also have a three-piece set for sale HERE (they were painted with Krylon Fusion if you want to see how the ones below could look).
  13. Figured I'd throw some of mine in: Finally got my 11's I've been wanting. Anyway, they're talking about doing it every year so hopefully next year will be even better. A few pictures and videos below: 11.8474 @ 115.77 mph: 11.8262 @ 115.62 mph: 11.8474 in-cab view: A couple of pictures:
  14. I'm switching to a Turbo400 so no longer need this pan. Description on TCI's site is as follows: One of the best investments you can make to assure longevity of your automatic transmission is a cast aluminum deep pan. Designed with cooling fins to dissipate heat faster, these pans also provide additional strength and rigidity to the transmission case. No modifications are necessary to the stock dipstick and the pan includes magnetic drain plug, filter, pan gasket and new rail bolts and washers. Heat is the hands-down biggest killer of transmissions. Whether you're getting into performance or keeping your truck stock, you should do everything you can to lower temps. This pan holds two extra quarts of fluid which reduce fluid temperatures anywhere from 20 to 50 degrees depending on application. It's already been tapped and has a sending unit for a temperature gauge. You will need a new gasket which can easily be purchased at any auto parts store. New, these are about $145 on eBay plus shipping. I'd like to get $125 shipped.
