  1. These are just over a year old - I bought them in September of '06 and had them on my Z71 (so yes they will fit 4wd) and took them off a couple of months ago when I put the truck back to stock. They're listed as fitting 1999-2001, TRUCK/SUBURBAN/TAHOE/YUKON, 4.8L-5.3L, 2/4WD, but again, these were on my 2003. SCIV also runs these if you want to get his input on them. I'm not sure if they'll fit the NNBS or not...? They're in excellent condition and come with the gaskets that were provided by Thorley. I used the gaskets and had no issues with leaking (even with a missing header bolt). These felt amazing on my extended cab Z71 but I need long tubes with my new setup. You won't find a better made header than the Thorley's. They use 14 gauge steel and 3/8" flanges (try to find better). Ask anyone who has them not only about the quality but about how they perform. These currently sell for $1,002 on Thorleys site (obviously overpriced) and $669 on Summit. I'm asking $475 shipped or $450 if picked up in person. Actual photo: Stock photo (or click here for a link): The best way to get rid of your exhaust. Thorley headers are designed to outflow your stock exhaust manifolds. These headers increase gas mileage and give your engine more horsepower across the entire rpm range. The Tri-Y configuration builds the most power in the middle rpm range, which is great for towing and steep grades. To make these headers last, Thorley made them out of durable 14-gauge mild steel with 3/8 in. thick flanges and 5/16 in. collector rings. To prevent leaks, these headers have an O-ring welded into the flange, in addition to the high-temperature gasket provided.
  2. Is the filter an oil-less filter? I know the Brute Force one is but your ad says this is a K&N filter...sorry - confused! Also, does this come with all the hardware needed and the box that replaces the stock intake box?
  3. Dodge has a sticker out identical to this that says: "YEAH, IT'S GOT A HEMI". These are direct imitations of those except with the rams head fallen over, tongue hanging out, and eye's rolled.Trust me, they piss the Dodge guys off and will get you lots of races. Imagine pulling up to a Dodge and seeing a Chevy logo in the shape of a weenie with the words "Like a cock" next to it...same effect. Sorry man, they're done in white to mock the original. Yours is going out first thing in the monrning Danny - thanks again.
  4. EASY 3-STEP PURCHASE: 1.) HIGHLIGHT AND COPY THE BLUE TEXT: I WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE THE FOLLOWING: NUMBER OF STICKERS: AMOUNT DUE ($10 EACH): I SAW THESE ON THE FOLLOWING SITE: MY MEMBER NAME ON THAT SITE IS: I WILL MAKE PAYMENT BY (PayPal, Cash, Money Order, Cashiers Check): MY NAME AND SHIPPING ADDRESS IS: 2.) CLICK ON THE LINK AT THE END OF THIS SENTENCE AND PASTE THE COPIED TEXT INTO YOUR EMAIL ([email protected]) 3.) SEND PAYMENT BY PREFERRED METHOD (SEE COMMENTS BELOW) PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: When you type your address, be PRECISE. I am NOT responsible for lost mail. I accept ONLY the following forms of payment: PayPal, Cash, Money Order, or Cashiers Check. If you want to send cash, feel free to fold it in a piece of paper and mail it to me. I've sold quite a few this way with no issues. Payment via PayPal can be made to ([email protected]). After sending the above email, you do not have to wait to hear from me to send a payment via PayPal. If you send a Money Order or Cashiers check, P.M. me and I will give you my mailing address. The sticker(s) will NOT be shipped until I have cashed the M.O. or C.C. Stickers are digitally printed, individually cut logos and letters. There is not a solid black background on the logo like on previous stickers. APPLICATION PROCESS: 1.) Clean install location thoroughly. 2.) Without removing the transfer paper (the top, thin, layer) align the sticker in the desired location. 3.) Vertically tape the right edge of the sticker to the window to act as a "hinge" and maintain alignment (it's easiest to keep the tape length shorter than the height of the sticker). 4.) With moderate pressure, carefully rub the surface of the transfer paper with a paper towel to help the letters adhere to the transfer paper. 5.) Peel off the backer sheet, separating it from the transfer paper. Be sure the vinyl is sticking to the thin transfer paper, NOT the thicker backer sheet. If a piece does not stick to the transfer paper, carefully put the transfer paper and backer sheet back together and rub on the transfer paper where the vinyl isn't releasing. You likely will not have to do this though. Typically the vinyl adheres pretty well to the transfer paper. 6.) With the backer material removed, carefully lay the transfer paper against your install surface and rub briskly with a paper towel. (NOTE: You will need to first install the white vinyl (the eyes and the text). Next, simply align the red logo with the white eyes using the method described above. This is fairly simple, however in some instances, it may be easier to shine a light from the opposite side of the glass so the white eyes are clearly visible.) FINISHED!
  5. I'm selling the cam that is currently in the 6.0l that I bought. The cam has about 200 miles on it. It will be pulled within the next week and a half since my other cam is on the way and will be installed on or prior to January 5th. I'm asking $300 which will include 1st class shipping to anyone in the lower 48. No "dibs" accepted - the first one to PayPal the funds gets the cam. If you're in the DFW area, I'll accept cash only if meeting in person...no checks, no money orders, no cashiers checks. If you can get any of those you can get cash and then I don't have to wait for anything to clear. Click here for a description of the cam from Comp's website or here for a description from Lingenfelter's website.
  6. HISTORY OF ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: I bought my 1999 Silverado off Ebay. The individual I purchased it from had it for a pretty short time and had too many other projects, rebuilds, frame-off restorations, etc. going on, so decided to sell the truck along with a few motorcycles (said he had about 8 projects going on). There haven't been any visible modifications to the engine and it runs very strong. The guy I bought it from was familiar enough with these transmissions to know that there are sometimes issues with clutch packs and so on around 100,000 miles. So he had a transmission shop that owed him a favor rebuild the transmission with better internals (no list of exactly what they are). The only forum member to ride in the truck has been Virgil (mean05). He can attest to the strength of the engine which has 125,000 miles on it as well as how good the transmission feels. Again, the truck runs very strong. A Car Fax report is available for the truck it is being taken out of (the vehicle is accident-free). CONDITIONS OF SALE: The current plan is to pull the engine and transmission on January 5th as ONE piece and install the 6.0l and 4l65e I have. Assuming the install goes as planned and there are no unforeseen disasters, the 5.3 and the 4L60e will be available anytime after that date. I am posting now in case any interested persons wants to see the engine and transmission in person while it's in and running. As it stands, I will be retaining the oil dip stick & tube, throttle body (cable style, not drive-by-wire) and the required parts to make it work on the 6.0l. I will also be retaining the stock A.C. compressor so I don't have to open the system and recharge it. The compressor currently on the 6.0l will be put on the 5.3l. If there are additional parts I'll need to pull for the 6.0l I will post them up. PRICE IF PICKED UP IN MESQUITE, TX (best deal in red): For $1,400.00 You Get: Engine, Tranny, Cherry Picker (I'll help load). For $1,300.00 You Get: Engine, Tranny, No Cherry Picker (You provide cherry picker - I'll help load). For $1,200.00 You Get: Engine, Tranny, Cherry Picker, provided you come the day it is being removed and it will be loaded directly into your truck. For $775.00 You Get: Engine ONLY For $725.00 You Get: Transmission ONLY ADD $100.00 TO ANY OF THE ABOVE AMOUNTS TO INCLUDE DELIVERY TO ANY LOCATION WITHIN 20 MILES OF MESQUITE. ADD AN ADDITIONAL $20.00 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL 20 MILES OR PORTION THEREOF (DISTANCE WILL BE FIGURED FROM MY HOME ADDRESS. MAXIMUM DISTANCE I WILL DELIVER IS NEGOTIABLE). SHIPPING & DELIVERY: At the moment I would rather avoid shipping this. I know next to nothing about shipping something of the size and weight and my time is extremely valuable to me. Translation: I would really rather not mess with shipping! So if shipping is required, please P.M. me and we will see if we can agree on terms. PAYMENT: A non-refundable down payment of $50.00 is required for anyone calling "dibs" (payable via PayPal to [email protected]). Since I am trying to avoid shipping and keep this a local sale, I'll require payment in cash. If you have the ability and means to get a Money Order, a Cashiers Check, etc. - then you can get cash and I don't have to worry about a check clearing.
  7. Trying to sell the truck and will do better parting out the performance stuff.
  8. The stock converter is going back on the truck so I'm selling the Yank. It's a 278mm, 2600 stall, 2.10 STR, Truck Thruster Torque Converter. This was installed in my truck by Donnie at Pro Street Motorsports on 02/06/07. List price is $475.00 ($425.00 + $50.00 shipping) from Yank. I'm asking $350.00 for local pickup or $400.00 shipped.
  9. I'm selling this so I can begin on my next project. The truck runs perfectly with absolutely no mechanical issues. I am asking $16,000. If you have any questions, please post them in this thread in case others have the same questions. With electric fans, cold air intake, a smaller cam, stock wheels and tires, and the other mods listed below, I ran a best of 14.8 seconds in the ¼ mile. This would be a great start if you're wanting a 4wd and/or extended cab truck that runs decent times. 10. I don't see why you couldn't repaint them. I'll get you a picture as soon as possible (should be this evening). Did you have any in trade or were you just wanting to buy them outright?
  11. Sorry - I'm not really wanting to ship them. I'm hoping to move them locally.
  12. I'm in need of the following for a 2003 Extended Cab Silverado Z71: 1.) Stock exhaust including the exhaust manifolds, muffler, and tailpipe. I'm looking for someone who just wants to get rid of this stuff for free or who wants very, very little for it. Mainly I'm just looking to make it easier to replace everything when I remove the headers. 2.) Stock 16" or 17" wheel & tires. At the moment I would like to trade the wheels and tires listed below to someone for their stock set and some cash. I just did the same deal with Virgil (mean05) a couple of months ago. He gave me the ones below for mine and $500. I'm looking to get about the same. If I can find the stock stuff relatively soon, I'll be selling the following: Spin Tech Sportsman Street XL 3" single-in 3" single-out muffler. Cost new was $109. I'll take $75. Shipping would be $15. Photo is representation only. Actual muffler is in excellent condition and again is a center-in center-out design. l'm also more than willing to sell these outright as long as you give me a little time to find a replacement set after they sell: 20" MB wheels including tires. The wheels have some clouding but it's not noticeable unless you're right up next to them.
  13. Hey Andrew - if you get this, I need your mailing address for the shirt and sticker. The one in PayPal is different than the one in the email you sent me. Also need your member name for the site... Thanks!
