years ago when i was in the market of a R/T i seen a few articles on the shoot out of the two trucks. and then it wasnt practical to own either of them. but they blamed the poor pefromance to the stock restictive intake/EFI setup and stated how the newer design 4.7 setup was a better one. this was stock vs stock now in a mod comparison the 5.9 has more potential if equipped with a better setup. theres a guy up there that pulled off his EFI and runs a carb and it runs fairly well what is an dullard <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Funny, but the LS1 and the Magnum motors share the same intake style.... So I guess that means that those LS1 intakes are terribly restrictive eh?? Danno

yes for pulling not for HP unless you really modify them. a few years ago i thought of getting one when i was young and dumb lol but did seraching adn seen how poor the intake setup was and that a 4.7 magnum walks the the R/T <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There are 650 hp r/t's out there that run consistently deep in the 11's. Pulling my ass. They would rape any SS on this site. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> are you able to read or do you have poor dodge syndrone? really modified. stock they are garbage and get spanked by the 4.7s <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dunno what you are smokin, but an Auto RC 4.7 Dak will NOT spank an Auto 5.9 RC RT.... aint gonna happen. Sorry. The stick 4.7 RC's are pretty quick, and can take an RT stock for stock, but not with an auto. BTW, light boltons, RC RT's run mid to low 13's consistantly. This is intake, headers/exh and PCM. Doesnt take much to knock 2 seconds off of a RC RT. And if you get a lil crazy, 11's arent even a sweat for some of us anymore... I ran a 12.02 @ 109 in my stock heads/cam RC RT with a 150 shot. In my RT CC with heads/cam Im running 11.50's @ 118... with some tire spin off the line. My wifes lil POS bolt on RC RT runs mid 13's all day on the motor. Ive raced many 4.7 Daks. I have a stack of time slips for my 3 RT's about 6" thick... so I would say I have a better feel for who runs what than anyone, let alone a driveway queen ;) I have yet to be beat by a truck at the track... doesnt mean there arent faster ones out there, but I havent had the pleasure of seeing the tailgate of any of em ;) And that includes most anything you would care to conjur up... Yeah, the blue one with the shaker and ghost flames. 98 IB RC.. one of 32! which is kinda cool. You DEFINATELY need a stall for your combo. That would prolly pick you up a few tenths easily. Hell, Im runnin 13.15's NA in Barney... no reason you shouldnt be mid-upper 13's with that combo. Danno
