  1. Thanks fellas, I am going to order today!
  2. Hey guys, back after a long break! I am getting ready to put spindles and hangers on my truck and have been shopping around! Is it best to go with Belltech or Mcgaughys? I found Belltechs for $244. Also, I already have shackles on the back and I want hangers. Any suggestions? I heard someone say on here to stay away from Mcgaughys hanger kit. Is this true and what reason for? Thanks guys!!
  3. Just take out the muffler, put in a good x-pipe and it will sound sweet! Too loud without the x-pipe though!!
  4. Where is the cheapest and best place to buy these wheels? I have done some searching, but to no avail. I want the wheels with tires!!
  5. Just like the title says, I have 4 brand new 20 inch chrome vortec max stock rims that I would like to sell. They only have 600 miles on them! I bought 22's and no longer need these. They have the factory Goodyear LS tires on them too! I would like to get 1400.00 plus shiopping for them. Any good offers will be considered though! Thanks
  6. I guess I should have been a little more clear. They make solid polished stainless plates that go behind the wheels and that would completely hide the front discs and rear drums. I have seen them in some magazines and they seem to look nice. I agree that those drilled and slotted look-a-likes are hideous. I am not trying to draw attention to the wheels, just make it look more uniform!! n Thanks for the replies!
  7. I was just wondering if anyone has tried these on their truck before? I have the 06 that has drums on the back and I think they look stupid. I was thinking about putting some disc simulators on the front and back, just to make it look uniform! Any suggestions? I can't afford to do an actual disc conversion! Thanks
  8. they go towars the front of yhe chock look in the pics they help explain it. and when doing a 2 shackle drop you dont need to do shims. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks guys. I did the shackles and don't need the shims. It rides good, but I think I will trim my bumpstop! I think I am hitting them on bridge decks. Thanks for everyones help!!
  9. Thank you very much. So I am correct in thinking that the big end of the shim goes to the front of the truck? RIGHT? I searched Belltech website and they showed it the opposite, but it doesn't make any sencse to me why they did theirs that way!!
  10. Hey, I just installed the Belltech shackles on my truck and was wanting to put the shims in, but I have become stumped on the proper place to install these! I searched the site and never came up with anything. I am wanting to finish this truck tomorrow. I know the big end goes to the front, but do these go in between the axle and the leafs?? Thanks for the help!!
  11. Does this mean that I will lose some of my ride when I lower the front this way???????
  12. I researched and found out what I was looking for. Thanks. I am just going to take a few turns out of my Torsion Bars and then it will sit exactly level when I install my 2" shackles. Thanks By the way, no matter what will I have to trim the bumpstops? I am just needing about an inch of drop!!
  13. Okay, I am new to this forum, but I am hoping that someone can help me. Is the front suspension on my Max different than on other half tons? My Max is two wheel drive and it sits up like it is 4x4. I am getting ready to put 2" shackles on the back , but someone told me that I have torsion bar suspension on the front. Is this true? If so can they be adjusted down just a bit? My front end is only 1.25" lower than the back, so a I am affraid that a 2" shackle will look like I have a load in the back. Any help is appreciated.
  14. Thanks guys for your help. I used to have a Lightning and I kept my Borla catback system off of it when I sold it, so I think I am going to have a muffler shop fab that up to where we can just connect it to my truck.I will let you know how it sounds.
