I have the Gibson Sport Truck on my 5.3 and love it, throaty but not annoying at 70mph and loud WOT. Passenger side square tips look sleek and sound great, I actaully get compliments on the tone. Took about 15 minutes to install and no welding. I havent heard the Corsa on the 5.3, I know its more expensive though.

I bought theses headlights from sporttruckdirect.com (top of page) http://www.sporttruckdirect.com/Headlight_...rsion_Kits.html Here are some pictures of them on... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/795392 I think the bottoms are the same as the link that you posted, but the top headlights arent projectors. My only complaint is that the bottom headlights leak, the manufacturer sent me replacement O-rings for the lights and they still leak, not bad but moisture does get in there. Typically the moisture will go away after sitting in the sun for a couple hours. You can find these exact ones on ebay very reasonable, overall a great looking upgrade. Hope this helps!

The 5.3 is not a slouch, but the rumble bee is a little lighter than your 4wd w/ more mods and more power stock, but he's not beating a lightning or a gt and the 425hp is definately inflated with his mods. Long live the 5-3. Race f150's like I do, its fun and makes you feel all tingly inside. lol.

Ya a buddy of mine has a hemi and we were about the same until he bought the Superchip, it literally droped .7 in the quarter I'm sure the weather help him out a little being that it wasn't as hot. But still over a half second for $350 is well worth it, but I hear a PCM tune is the way to go on our trucks...

Alright guys, help me out on this one...I have an 04 5.3 2wd (pic below) the only performance mods are intake and exhaust, i know, big deal right? Anyways, I was out on friday when I was next to a black ss at a stoplight and we were bs'n or whatever and he wanted to race, I told him his AWD would murder my 'peg leg' rear-end off the line and it wouldn't be much of a race so we agreed to race from 40 when I would have more of a chance to hang. At 40 he did the whole 3-2-1 thing a we both floored it, to my suprise we were side by side at 85! I thought he would have walked away from me, I know my truck is a little lighter than an SS and has roughtly 290hp/330tq stock....so maybe the lighter truck made up for the lack of hp? granted when we floored it his truck jumped a little harder, but i caught right up. Even the owner was impressed/stunned. Help me out guys. O and we are supposed to brag about people who we beat...cough cough, I beat the shit out of my mom's new HHR. lol.

Now that we are on cop stories, just some advice to the other "underage" guys out there, fake id's are not worth it. I got caught trying to get in to a bar w/ my buddies id and got caught. (shouldve known better, on Mill Ave at ASU) long story short i had to take 16 hours of alcohol classes even though i was not drinking (yet) or driving and they also suspended my drivers license for 6 months, yes my drivers license. You cannot get a restricted to drive to work or school since it is not a DUI? ya didn't make much sense to me either, we've contacted lawyers and they tell us we are just spinning our wheels and to just wait it out...moral of the story- drink at home til youre 21...it's cheaper and safe.

I know that the weather is huge variable when it comes to turning a good number, for a hot humid day in TX, im sure there's nothing wrong w/ your truck. my $.02

What's up guys, I had a quick question. I have a 2004 Silverado 5.3 and the Check Engine Light is on (only 40k), it still runs great and I am hoping it is just an O2 sensor or something like that, but anyways, I bought a Superchip Programmer and am very anxious to try it out. My question is should I get my truck diagnosed at the dealership before I go messing around with the programmer or will I be fine...
