    well...i would rather go to the touchless than do what i did the other day

     

    i went to the DIY (figured id get a quick wash in) and get home and the freaking POS hose left tiny scratches/swirls on the quarter panels, im sure i can get them to go away with some coats of wax but its such a pita...lesson learned i guess :banghead:

    I have a call out for some help the day of the strip trip. I'm looking for someone with a stock, or close to stock SS that has no computer tuning done on it.

     

    I have a Superchips flashpaq that I'm testing out, and was wondering if someone would be willing to do some back to back passes at the track for stock vs tuned. The tune is fully reversable and the SS would be returned to stock after a few runs.

     

    I think this is a really low risk test with almost no chance of messing anything up.

    can we just have our stock exhaust cut and use a diff muffler and have it coming out before the rear pass tire??

     

    i know some guys arent too big on the aftermarket exhausts, since ours are pretty decent...whatever floats your boat i guess

    something to do with the spark advance i think...pretty sure you can get them on tbyrne's site. Im gonna get one but from what I can tell its not worth getting one without having the pcm tuned for it at the same time. try searching the threads, i know Mister P has a good how-to with lots of pictures on this, plus the reasoning for actually doing the mod. :cheers:

    so whats the next mod then? I like the idea, how long have you had your truck? I would do the same with mine if I could afford it...

    I've had it about 7 months. I was thinking heads & cam + intake, or doing a big custom turbo setup and seeing how long the motor would last. Friend of mine said she would buy me a 408ci, but Ill believe that when I see it.

     

    My vote is for the turbo.

    i would take the "free" 408!! i need to get some friends like yours

    i guess thats not bad. when i got mine the dealer had an 04 with 60k miles and they were asking 27 i think...i dont think anybody here wil bash you for having a lighting, imo they are some pretty sweet ass trucks. im not too sure on the longevity of the motor but i dont think itll be a problem :dunno:

    i cant stand when they do that crap with their p.o.s. cars. granted, some are put together nicely (i havent seen many of those). there's nothing like real american muscle :devil: and def not in some neon. btw, i hear those stupid wings they put on there are good for like 15 horsepower :crackup:
