yeah ill get the cooler for sure.....ok i checked out the yank2600 and that looks pretty good but is the TBTC anything like that? what does it stall at and will it keep stock tow rating? i know ive read it somewhere before i just cant find it

ok i have a 2006 vortec max 2wd so it has the 4l60e correct? no im going to put the zippy kit and the servos in it but should i do a torque converter? i tow about a 6 or 7 thousand pound boat regularly and i dont want to mess anything up. i will also get a pcmforless tune but im just figuring out what i should do to the transmission. this truck also will have a 100hp shop of nitrous

yeah maybe i just need a tune and it will make a better differnce. it was at the same track when i ran the truck both times. the first time i ran it it only had 400 miles on it too and it feels way faster then when i first bought it. my 60's were 2.321 first run and 2.286 for the second run and times were 15.196 @ 89.68 first run and 15.135 @ 90.7 second run i diddnt know if the k&n was not that good of an intake im my opinion an intake is an intake but i put one on my toyota tundra and went from 16.2 to 15.8 so i dont know any other vortec max's out there with any times? there was 93 in the truck both run and i should have just put a 100 shot on it and called it a day haha

just got back from the track tonight....my 06 vortec max went 15.2 stock and i put a magnaflow exhaust and k&n fipk intake and now it goes 15.1?!?! it was about the same temp out both times and i made numerous passes each time i was there so i cant figure out if its maybe the intake or the exaust you guys have any ideas?

thats good i just want at the most 100shot and i want it to be a reliable spray. i have a nitrous express wet kit used but i was thinking about going with a zex any news on a zex on an SS?? have you had the kit on since it was new?

the reason i want quiet headers and i want my truck to sound like a "buick" is so that when i drive my 3 month old truck i dont have to yell to the passenger and listen to rattles. maybe also so it will bolt up to the magnaflow exhaust and i wont have to cut into anything. maybe if you wanted such a loud truck you should have bought a diesel... yeah and if you knew how to read my post did make sense i mean since you even have headers on your truck and all....its not like a SS is something that is really special its just a truck i see more old men driving them around here than anything aside from that thanks for the reply i have a FIPK, magnaflow exhaust and almost a 100 shot i just wanted to make sure that before i drop 1300 that the walls of them are thick enough to make the a little quieter then other long tubes.

how quiet are these headers? i want to ad headers but i dont want it to be real loud in the cab like some cheapers headers are.

ok i have a 2006 vortec max and i was wondering how the tranny holds up to a 100 shot. I have a FIPK and a magnaflow exhaust but i want to put some nitrous on it im just not sure if the tranny is going to need a TC or valve body to hold it. i searched and couldnt find it. Also anyone using a ZEX kit?
