yea i really need AWD for winter

I'm looking into getting an 05 Silver Birch SS.. 05 is the only year they made them correct? Looking to drive it in the winter as well.. What kind of price am I looking at ? Also.. i checked the for sale forum.. didn't see much. Any ideas where I could look? Thanks guys! Ryan

Well I went and looked at the SS I posted about. Mechanically it is great, smooth shifting, new tires, engine sounds awesome. It has some cosmetic defects though, paint has some scratches.. I would probably get it wetsanded and buffed. Should come out looking like new.. The dashboard seems to be tearing from the top.. previous owner had a GPS unit on it which melted the top of the dash... and a piece is torn.. Any idea's where I could get a new dashboard? cover? Maybe take it off and paint it? Also, the drivers seat is torn, could get a leather guy to patch it up I assume.. And the rear tailgate, on the top is a whole bunch of scuffs and scratches, I could just get a cover for this I assume correct? Thanks guys! Ryan

Thanks, I've searched for awhile, I was just concerned about the mileage.. Yea I love my truck, got a ton of money in it though, still love Chevy's always have. Anything else I should look for? He said a dealer will give him $17,600 so thats his firm price..

I have always loved trucks, and I got my GF into it. (I drive a lightning, dont bash me though ), always loved the SS trucks. She wants to go look at one this weekend, its a 03 Black SS, owner said its in pretty awesome shape other than a few scratches, adult owned.. 63kmi. I know the mileage is a bit high, but is there anything I should look for in these? He says all service was done by the dealer, tires are OK, runs great. He wants 17,600. Good deal? How long do these motors last? Thanks guys!
