Its supposed to be a real crappy weekend in oklahoma, its already sleeting and there is expected loss of power. Flights are canceled in Tulsa therefore my fiance will not be able to fly in this weekend

Did you get the model that you have to insert a temperature probe into the radiator?

Everything was working fine for a while. I first lost 4th then 2nd was slipping. Took servos out and inspected o-rings, wiper rings, etc and they looked fine. I put the stock servos in and shifted normally. Now I got the vette 2nd and 4th billet, so I don’t know why those problems came about. Maybe the pin length, that’s my only reasoning.

Did you use billet servos, or the vette? When i installed my zippy kit the billet 2nd did not work properly, i had to go with the vette.

My dad bought me the truck...mom bought the rims...but I think im going to sell it because im tired of the look of it...(no offense, its a nice truck..but I want a different look..) Im probably going to get a benz S500 or something along those lines..my parents give me everything I want all I have to do is ask
from your picture you posted a while ago, you look more like a Benz guy anyways.

I just started a job where I use Solidworks everyday, and I just want to know if anyone uses it for large assemblies? and how frustrated they get?
To help performance on large assemblies make sure at the component level your features are at a minimum and make sure you define everything, (turn blue lines to black). You can also make components (Lightweight) when you bring them into an assembly. hope that helps a little

I put the stock 4th gear servo and cover back in the truck and it shifted into 4th with no problem. I talked to zippy and I am going send back the billet 4th and he is going to ship me a new one. I still can’t help but wonder if that small OE spring is used in this setup.

Does anyone know where to start with this missing 4th gear problem? Nothing I read has had similar symptoms. I guess I am going to start with the servos and then pull the pan. I reset the pcm and that’s the only thing I can do without getting to involved? What kills me is that it ran fine for a week, shifted great. Zippy did answer allot of my dumb questions with the install.

well I made it home and nothing seemed to self-destruct driving in 3rd for 3 hours at 3000 rpm. Forth gear is still gone and I am too mad to think about it now. thanks misterp for taking to time to talk with me on the phone. I will have to tear back into it tomorrow after work.

Does anyone have a diagram showing the lenghts of bolts in the valve body for the 4L60E? I have one bolt that seems to bottom out to soon . thanks.

I am going through the same dilemma, I have a Buick 3.8 right now in my 80 but I think I am probably going to put an LS1 in it soon. Right now this 2 barrel car gets better gas mileage than my truck

You may have have a short in the blower Resistor ,mine would not shut off at all even with the Key off

mine is digital, may be diffrent P# but a place to start lookin for your fix
I am pretty sure mine will do that also. thanks for your help. For now i will just tell people it is cooling itself off.

I have the manual slider temperature controls, not the digital display. I have put the temp setting at hot then cold and in the middle and the motor turns on just parked in the now cold garage. I think it might be possessed.

When my SS is parked with everything off, my AC/Heater blower motor will kick on randomly. Is there a sensor that detects heat around electrical components and it is cooling them off? That’s just a shot in the dark on why it is does this. It seems the frequency is more when it is parked in the direct sunlight.

We're getting together on the 21st, not the 28th. Hope you can still make it.i just realized, after looking at my calender, that my family is having a halloween party on the 28th. we have it every year, sort of a tradition, and i cant miss it...that sucks, cuz i was really wanting to meet up with everyone. oh well, maybe next time...u guys have fun! and dont give those hooter girls too hard of a time.Sorry, cant make it on the 21st. I will be in STL.

Mr P, how is your latest resto going on your 70? i remember you saying you wanted to make some upgrades with it. You interested in this tour to atlanta?
