  1. I just mounted a set of Yokohama Parada Spec X (275/55-20). They aren't the most aggressive tread pattern, but are speed rated, a little stiffer in the sidewall, and grip like crazy in both wet and dry. And they have been a fantastic snow tire here in Northern Wisconsin. Take a look!! http://www.tirerack.com/tires/BigPic.jsp?s...l=Parada+Spec-X I got them locally, installed OTD for about $750. Tire rack rates them very well - and many of the users have outstanding comments.
  2. Thanks - I will let you know. Lansing, huh? Where in Lansing? I grew up there and still have some family there. . .
  3. That is great!! What do you want for it? PM or E-mail me a price and location. Does PayPal work for you?
  4. Anyone got one hanging around? It doesn't need to be perfect - just VR. Let me know!! Michael [email protected] Eau Claire, WI
  5. Hmm . . . On my Grand Prix - that is exactly where the cannister solenoid was located. But I had read several posts on here that commented the purge valve, and tubing was located in a cannister above the fuel tank under the box of the truck. I am pretty handy and can do the switch myslef - if I know where it is and what I need to do!! I will take a look this weekend for myslef and see if I can get some clarification. Thanks for the help, though!!
  6. Well I keep pulling the Evap Code 04990 on the CEL. Looks like I need to R&R the evap cannister vent valve. I saw a few posts that indicated I would change the tubing in the cannister - but how do I go about doing this and does anyone have part numbers?? Michael
  7. Man O' Man - if it was easy, I would be all over it!! With 2 kids in car seats, open doors would work great!!
  8. I am in Michigan - and the SSS is my daily driver. So YUP - it drives in the snow. Only the Corvette gets a winter pass!!
  9. I am all for adding my name . . . PM me for all details. FYI - we did the same sort of petitition as part of ClubGP (Grand Prix) and that actually resulted in GM creating an actual recall to repair leaking/failing magnasteer II steering boxes. So it can work. We must just remain positive, professional, and most of all, conssistent. Continue to push for answers, but we most remain 100% professional. We will get much more respect that way!
  10. OK - I am taking this off Saturday - and seeing no interest, I will be cutting up the system into three sections. front section (cat to muffs) middle section (muffs to tips) stainless slant tips I will take pictures saturday of the cleaned up tips and mufflers as long as we don't have 15 freakin' inches of snow(you gotta love Michigan - 60 degrees yesterday - Blizard tomorrow)
  11. I will keep you in mind. However, in the mean time . . . TTT PS - I am gogin to take this off tomorrow - should I cut it behind the muffs or before? I will keep the hangers on and the flanges at the front. Michael
  12. So my new Corsa Sport arrived today, and I will be removing the Flowmaster exhaust that came with the truck this week.I will clean it up (the tips are nearly perfect - just dirty right now) and take some more pics as soon as the Corsa is on. I have no idea what this would be worth - but I can tell you its a custom welded, dual muffler, cat back, with FlowMaster 40 series mufflers. Long, slanted 4 inch tips on both sides, exiting just behind the rear wheels. It is alluminized pipe all the way back to the tips (which are stainless). This system is LOUD - not as loud as my C5 with LG longtubes and Borla Stingers - but not much quiter at WOT. Very muscular - reminds me of an older big block. I believe Fuel Slut has heard them and can vouch for the sound and mileage. The exhaust has about 5000 miles on it (the truck only had 9300 miles when I bought it last month!!) but it has seen 2 winters. So it has some surface rust. I was thinking $350 + shipping for the whole thing - or if no interest, I will carve it up and sell it piece by piece. Exhaust is in Kalamazoo, MI Here are some pics!
  13. Is it a kit or something you had made? I dont think the 40's come in a kit. Is it dual mufflers? How much? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry about the long delay - I was out of town on vacation (Palm Springs - man is it tough to come back to Michigan after a week in SoCal). It came on the truck (bought a few weeks ago) - and it looks like an alluminized, custom, dual muffler catback with stainless tips. I don't have pics yet - but can take a few tonight and post. I would guess it's worth about $350 plus shipping from Kalamazoo. It is a little too loud for a daily driver (for my taste).
  14. As I understand it - each remote is specific to the memory settings. I only have remote #2 - and it recognizes me as driver 2. I was told that I need a #1 remote to access the memory #1 slot. Unless that is not true - in whcih case I just need any old extra Key Fob . . . Can anyone confirm this?
