Alpine IDA-X001 I just installed this deck in my truck and I love it. Its such and awsome head unit. The only problem it does not have a CD player. This is not a big deal to me because i use my ipod so much and rarely ever listen to cd's anymore. This deck makes it so easy to navigate the thru the ipod and find the songs i want to listen too. One day a might get a changer so i can have the ability to listen to cd's I wanted to have my other deck installed under my new one but they said it was going to cost something like 300 plus an entire day to install so i said hell no on that

Yeah my dims are brighter then my brights but they dont seem to shine as far down the road as the brights and the brights cover much more area.

So i noticed a problem that does not make me to happy about my HID lights. I have the lights in my dims and i love them as long as im driving around with my dims on. Well i was driving home on a long trip, and there was verry little traffic so my bright Lights were on for quite a long time. Then when a car came i turned off my brights and wow i could barely see. My Hid's were realy dark and it took a second for them to warm up. I nearly ran off the road because i could not see. I was just wondering if it was common for HID light to take a few seconds to warm up or is it just my cheap chineese Ebay lights? I was thinking about getting the kit that keeps the dims on when the brights are on. i had this in my las truck and loved it but i did not have HIDs then. My fear is that this may pull to much power especially if i get HIDs in the brights. and im afraid that having both the dims and the brights on at the same time will be too hot and start to melt my lenses or the wires. What do you guys think

If i was to sell my SSS for another "sport truck" I would probably go with a TBSS. I have actually thought about it quite a bit. sometimes i wonder why i have a truck because i very rarely hall anything in the bed and i always think about how it would be nice to have a TBSS and have the extra covered room. But the next truck i get will most likely be a 3500 Duramax Crew Cab. But that will also depend on where im living at that time. If im living in a larger warm climate city like vegas or Phoenix or Tuscon then i might just keep my SSS till it falls apart. But if im living in the backwoods of southern oregon where i use too then im going to want a truck i dont mind getting dirty.

Im the exact same way. When i was in high school i was fairly good playing almost every day very rarely got over 75, but that was only when i had a weekend job and my parents payed for everything now that im out of college and working 6 to 7 Days a week, i dont get to play much at all plus living here on the oregon coast it rains every day. So sad. I will start playing more once i get things at my job here settled down and then i will actually get 2 days off a week and get to play some more

Thats what i have always been told too. i got some JDM Black headlights from Xtralights.com and they were pictured clear and when i got them they had amber so i was angry and called them and thats what they told me. Im sure it is illegal but probably not any more then smoking the lights and definitely more legal then removing the amber totally. Thats why i was so happy when i found these exact same lights for sale and thats why i bought them. I had clear lenses with the clear reflector on my 2001 silverado and never had a single problem in 2 years

Holly Crap What are the odds. UPS knocked on my door as well and I got the exact same headlights. I love them!!! i was going to posted some pics of what they look like but looks lie you beat me to it. There one of my favorite mods and i have only had them on for a day

Im kind of angry i went with HD because i bought the player for my xbox 360, looks like i chose poorly. Oh well i will continue to buy HD movies until i cant anymore and then try to find a combo player for a good price. I just saw one at best buy for $350 yikes

thanks. I like them too the only problem i have had is that they fog up bad and i even added more sealant to them to try to keep that from happening but that did not work. Buy i actualy have some new lenses comming

It actually comes from the band wang Chung you know and that song everybody wang chung tonight. anyway a few years ago me and my friends were joking around about that song and i dont know what happend but we started calling ourselves the Wang Gang. and so me and all my friends have a sticker that says Wang on the back.

So it finally stopped raining here on the Oregon coast at least for a couple of days so i washed my truck and me and the GF went for a little drive up the coast and i snapped some pics

So here are just a few pictures i took of my SS in the snow. I had to go home to my home town in southern Oregon and i live on the coast now. the trip normally takes less then 4 hours but it took almost 7 because of all the snow on the cascade mountains this year. So i figured i would just post some pics. Here is a picture of my parents house with about 5 feet of new snow that fell in about a week And here are some pics of Klamath Lake (the largest in oregon) and the cascades. its totally frozen enuf you can walk across it and this does not happen very often. Its been a crazy winter this year and the worst in about 15 years. 4 buildings in my home town have had there roofs collapse and something like 10 of schools are closed right now until they are deemed safe enuf to enter (that never happened when i was a kid lol). Im kind of glad i do not live there and i dont have to deal with this weather for a long time. I dont know if my ss could handle it

I was just wondering what everyone was using to detail there interior and make it all nice and shiny. I tried Maguires quick interior detailer and i was not impressed at all. I have used lemon pledge and it seems to give it a good shine and i know it can protect it. My dad's 69 chevelle still has the original dash and some other original interior and he use to soak that thing in lemon pledge ever sine he got it brand new the day he tured 16. So what do you guys think is the best? Also what do you guys use to clean the leather seats?
