i got it off that night with turtle wax bug and tar remover stuff. actually i had a wedding last night and he was there, but i don't care, i act as nice as possible because that's going to bother him more than if i were to act all pissed.

just put on my upgrades on saturday, noticeable difference in my gas mileage and great improvement on performance, sounds great (i know someone asked about sound from cai), it really sounds like its got a pair now and that ram air scoop really makes for a nice run on the highway or any 55+ mph driving. it rides out on the highway now! as for the tbs, don't know if it's doing much for me, haven't really read anything great about them anyway. more on that later, it does make a cool turbo noise though

i'll tell you something that happened to someone i knew in high school. he was home sick, and he's big fan of the simpsons, so his girlfriend made him brownies and brought a video tape of the simpsons to watch while he was home sick. so eats all the brownies while watching the tape and as he's gobbling down the last one and finishing up the vid, a recording comes on of his gf giving some dude a bj and her spitting his man milk into the brownie mix. she then walked up to the camera and said f%* # you, we're over, or something along the lines of that.

so i go to the mall to see a movie with my girlfriend, the movie was packed so we just returned our tickets and left. i'm walking out to my truck (which i purposely parked far away) and someone took a permanent marker (one of those markers with a big felt square for a tip, not some little sharpie, in other words a BIG F%^&IN MARKER) all the way down my driver side and even onto the tailight. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there no decency anymore!?!?!?! i think it was my girl's ex, but more on that later. at least i'm lucky it wasn't keyed, but my heart definitely sank into my balls when i saw it. (if it was my girl's ex, just for fun, although i won't do anything because i'm not going to stoop to his level but just wondering what ideas you might have.. what would you guys do back if your girl's ex did this to your truck?)

i definitely agree with all you guys, it was stupid , but yes testosterone is a strong thing. i am fortunate enough to have gotten out of that one unscathed and trust me, i don't need to have an accident to learn. I am still new to my SS and the more i run her hard the more i learn that it is a vehicle to be respected. never again will i ever screw around in the rain like that, even though i might think i'm good, shit happens and even more so (like what happened to me) you never really know the other driver. anyway, didn't know that there was a dodge owner on here, to him i would like to personally apologize for my rant, i was just venting my anger. a truck with a lot of hp is a truck with a lot of hp, that moron could have been in my truck and me in the srt10. either way, i meant no offense. sorry thank you to all who posted on my stupidity . and know that i've learned my lesson

so i'm on my way to work at about 720 am and i normally see this guy in a single cab black srt 10 most mornings. anyway it had rained the night before so the roads were a little wet but not too bad. srt 10 guy and i catch a light, which has never happened to us. so on green we take off, i sit there spinning (my SS is rwd) as well as he, so we both let off the gas got up to like 30 or 40 and then floored it again for another round, i'm spinning and fish tailing a little bit but i am very experienced and good at handling those situations and keeping a car in control. he downshifts his truck guns it and doesn't let off the gas. he swerves over to the left lane (he is in the middle, i was on the right lane) and almost hits the car on his left (mind you we're doing about 50-60 and he's still floored and out of control) he got spooked turned his wheel to the right and let off the gas at which point his tires caught and threw his truck violently to the right almost hitting me, had i not been watching this whole ordeal as soon as i saw his tires catch i swerved to the right because i knew he was going to be coming towards me hard and fast. so between me already accelerating and swerving to the right to avoid his ass i was able to get out unscathed. at the next light he wouldn't even lower his windows, he just hid behind his limo tints because he was so embarrassed. i'm sorry but if you're going to buy a high horse power truck, have some balls and know how to drive it, because that guy was a disgrace. on top of it, it was a f%^#ing dodge. i have seen countless videos of srt 10's being wrecked and destroyed and all of them for the same reason, and that's losing control at the start by not letting off the gas. i think mopar drivers just for some reason go retarded behind the wheel. i don't know what it is, but i think every person who buys those srt 10's does not know how to drive. so this morning sucked, and i will never race an srt 10 again, i just settle with knowing that it'll be a close call, i think it'll be better to assume the outcome of the race than get my truck crashed into by a f*%#ing dodge owner. i'll never take that risk again!

hate to be a grouch, but our trucks in fact do have wiring harnesses for the fog lights, i know that because a few days after i picked up my SS from the dealer, a cable fell down and was hanging, i realized that there was nothing for it to plug into and that it looked a lot likea harness to that of a foglight, i noticed there was also one on the other (driver) side except it was tucked up in between the chassis and a cluster of other wires. my passenger side harness had been hanging because it came out of its "manufacturer hiding spot" mine is an 06, so maybe its something they started doing now, however look under your truck, and i'll bet you they're there, just don't yank out a wire that's plugged in, make sure you pull out the right one!

now, my 06 is brand new, have about 2500 miles on it, but i feel a slight vibration almost grinding sensation at times when i turn my wheel, could i just be too paranoid and be feeling the hydraulics from the power steering? can someone do their best to describe this wheel "clunking" sensation on a post?

i am definitely more than interested if i could get power rear window like the tundras, please do post some pics and info!

had my 06 red SS for about 1 month now, so far it has an gaylord x 2000 speedstur wing tonneau, more pics later when i learn how to post pics. and i put in a line a fire and ice which i hard wired in, no "plugging in" non-sense. i have a few things in the mail though volant cai with ram air scoop and throttle body spacer any suggestions on the install or difficulties i might have? did i make a good choice with the volant kit w/ ram air? please post your thoughts! thanks! next up: billet mass air flow sensor and 160 F thermostat.

that's the way it should be, what a great story. what wigged me out though was how they had his name, address, car make, color, modifications and their street value etc. and all that information on paper, as well as that of others (as he mentioned they had found a lot in their car). that's kind of crazy, i'm already looking into a serious alarm system and a 9-iron. enough is enough

o yea, and don't even get me started with female drivers .. LOL!

yea, no offense to blacks, but i live in south FL and the blacks drive extremely horrible. they go under the speed limit in the left (HOV) lane, they cut you off, they brake for no reason, the hatian population drive dead at the wheel, and the ghetto ones drive like assholes. if you honk they flip you off, get in front of you and start slamming on their brakes. is there any decency anymore? how do these people pass their license tests? it's ridiculous! when i first got my truck i'm cruising on the highway to my girl's place, i'm going about 10-15 mph faster than everyone else in far left lane (the HOV) and no one gets in front of me, those who were looking to pass would wait for me to pass, then get in the left lane to pass instead of slowing me down, next thing you know some black lady gets in front of me going like 55 mph for no reason at all,(mind you the speed limit is 65 mph so i'm going like 75-80+) she didn't even come in to my lane to pass or anything! so i just flash my brights, she doesn't move, i flicker my brights, she doesn't move or accelerate, so now i'm pissed, my SS is higher than her car and with my sylvania silverstars its bright, so i just leave my brights on and it lights up her car entirely and i could see that i was blinding her b/c the reflection from her rear view mirror was right on her. so than she starts slamming on her breaks purposely (not because she was spooked by my brights, b/c i had already turned them off by the time she started her psychotic rant) but so that i would hit her . she would than speed up and then slam on her breaks AGAIN! Mind you, i had just gotten my truck and it was/still is brand new, anyway i couldn't floor it but i def. gave it some gas. i shot over like 3 lanes (yes i know its crazy but who hasn't) she tries flooring her car, but she just couldn't keep with the SS and i got out of there. I did this because i knew that she was going to cause an accident, she was slamming on her breaks so hard that she was losing control of vehicle. i mean is there no decency on the roads?? where is there a cop when you need them? i think that is worst than speeding! if you speed (responsibly) there shouldn't be many cars around and you're also in control of your vehicle, considering you're a good a driver. so what's the real danger compared to what that woman was doing? anyone agree? i'll just finish with this, this happens all the time in south FL, this is not a rare incidence, it's however the first time it happens to me because i simply do not drive aggressively or do anything to provoke others because i am a very calm driver (except when i'm in that mood, after all what did i buy an SS for? ) but yes, she was black and most of the "incidences" or bad driving i have seen is a lot of black ppl, no offense, but it's an observation i've made. they are all not bad however, my secretary at my office is black and her and her husband have very nice cars (he has a successful business, she works for spending money) and she drives excellent, so its not all of them, but the majority SUCK!

I purchased an 06' red rwd SS september 30, 2006 brand new and so far i've put a Gaylord X-2000 w/ speedstur wing, remote control, touch keypad, + more good stuff, and i have a volant Ram air system and throttle body spacer in the mail. some advice on how to get pics up and stuff would be great! thanks to all of you!

i just purchased my first chevy ever, an 06 red rwd SS brand spanking new on the 30th of september. I couldn't be happier with it (especially since i've broken in the motor and have had the chance to smoke a few victims ) anyway... what is all this i hear about steering wheel "clunking?" I am very new to this truck however i just want to know exactly what it feels/sounds like so i can know to look out for it. and lastly i would personally like to thank ALL OF YOU! for all of your efforts and posts on this site, i feel as though i know my truck so much better and can know how to treat it so much better because all of YOU! everyone here is great and thanks for all the info!

i am a new red silverado SS owner and i'm new to the truckin' scene, your SS is nice! by the way, anyway where did you order your steering wheel? are you for real that it was the last one?

this is my first pick up i've ever owned so i don't know much about anything. i already ordered my tonneau cover which is a Gaylord x2000 w/ speedstur wing, keyless entry, dome light, x-hinge and carpeting, and a rubber bed mat. i was told it was the best, can anyone assure me a made a good choice with that cover? my next upgrades will be shaving the tailgate and HID's. anyway does anyone have any good advice on tailgate shaving? mine is red and i think that would make it more difficult to match than black. do they paint the whole tailgate over or just the one spot? PLEASE HELP!?!?!?? thank you all, i am new to this site and you guys are awesome and you all definitely know your stuff on the SS, thank you all
