Hello All... I wanted to say hello, and hopefully get some opinions... I am considering purchasing a used '04 Silverado SS, and was wondering the following: 1) I've gotten the dealer to go as low as $25K for the truck...it is pretty clean, the rubber is reasonably good shape, it has 31K miles on it... KBB says it should be $28K and change. Is this deal too good to be true? seems like a reasonable but low price for the truck...am I missing something? 2) Are there any particular problem areas I should be alert to on these trucks? This will be both my first Silverado and first Chevy. 3) With AWD, I'm hoping the truck is reasonably capable in the snow, and on wet dirt (i.e. surface mud) roads...anyone have any input in this area. It will be used on roads in the snow (gotta love Maine winters) and as a work truck in the summer, with travel around gravel and stone quarries a couple times a week. How capable is this truck with mild off-road conditions? I guess my concern stems from the wide rubber (I'm used to standard 4x4 with BFG All-terrains, so a better/worse comparison to that would be helpful if anyone has that experience). Thanks in advance!
