  1. thanks GM. Yeah i am used to swimming with sharks.

    v-max - yeah my numbers are up there. not all titans are created equal - we had a dyno day and a few titans with the same mods produced different numbers. the titan ecu's are pesky and tend to like a rich mix.

  2. vmax - i am not really easily intimidated. touche on the comeback.

    gixx - who said anything about being the big shlt? nice rant gix when you have something intelligent or constructive to say please do so. I think you missed the point. Here are the cliff notes - SS owner rents Titan for a possible race and then fails to close the deal. Another SS rant. end of story.

    motor - i will be in vegas for the new year - unfortunately the T doesn't fit on the overhead compartment. lol

  3. I have heard that the front ends are shitty on the titans and my friend had problems with the rear end in his titan twice and traded it in on a 06 D-max. Said it was the biggest piece of crap. Have you had problems with yours. Havent ever raced 1 from a dig cant wait to do so to see for myself how fast they are.

    Just noticed this today..

    No haven't had any front or rear end problems. Those were mainly associated with 04 and 05 4x4 models and Nissan has stepped up and is swapping out the complete rear ends on affected models. They at first tried repairing the bearings where the seals failed but have since opted to just swap out the complete rear end. Pumpkin, axles, seals, the whole thing. Front ends? they have the highest front end crash rating. not sure what you mean. The only problem i have had are the front brake rotors - they are shit - i am planning on switching them out for the Stillen Big Brake kit. Others have swapped only the rotor out. I see you in Homestead. I am in country walk we should meet up and give 'em a run. What have you done to your truck?

  4. wow this thread is almost as useless as the I got banned one. You had the oportunity to run one and didn't? dee tee dee. I beat an SS big deal. I tow a 23 open fisherman as many times as i get, weather permitting, and the T pulls like a diesel period. oh yeah and that's a 23 with a full 120 gallon tank 4 people and all the gear. PUUULEASE. V your neighbor has issues. Maybe he prefers smelly diesels? "I dont like to see the radio in the reflection??" is he short? maybe he needs a booster seat? lol they dont make the titan in sizes for women. lol j/k but it was funny. Well as the original poster said "I'm not going to lie, I liked the truck. " and "the truck gets up pretty good." Remember guys this is a regular truck not a Performance specific truck like the SS. So when a regular truck can hold it's own with a "performance truck" you gotta give the T some credit. But then again there will always be haters so hate on!

  5. Nissan is a Japanese company. Thr final sale of these vehicles go to Japan. Do the plants pay local property taxes? I've heard that they do not. Do they pay customs on parts/supplies imported from Japan? Do the raw materials that they produce here, ie steel, aluminum, ect. come from here, or Japan? Not bad mouthing or trying to start an argument.

    You know i am not really sure. I could not find anything on the web that explains anything in regards as to which parts are manufactured where and what percentages are made here or there. I would not want to speculate but i think a lot of people do and that is where a lot of half truths and "I heards" come from. Unless you have some data or info to back up a claim it's not really constructive. Do you have any such info on the SS as to how much is manufatured here and not in Canada, or even Mexico, and how much of the revenues comes back here or do they pay taxes in Canada?

  6. Riviera - I think you need to go to a day spa and chill out. lol  The whole debate was that a Titan with only a pipe and intake can on occasion beat a stock SS.

    So I see your runnin a Banks exhaust? It looks like a bunch of titan guys are running it. Do you guys like it that much or is it about the only thing on the market? I'm just curious and have my reasons why.

    :crackup: My buddy has a banks exhaust on his Ford and likes it. Too quite for me tho

    Too quite or quiet? Compared to the other catbacks for the Titans the Banks is the loudest unless you do some crappy chop job with a glass pak. It's loud in a good deep way not a ratty "Dale's Muffler Shop" way.

    Probably because I haven't disrespected anyone.

    The Titan is made in USA unlike the SSS so what do you mean by down with the imports?

    Tool? Listening to them right now... I musta been so high!

    Crazy your RV rocks - I like the flames up front.

    Your Titan is assembled in the US, not built. Big difference.

    Man i searched the web hard to find out how much of it is actually built in Canton and could not find anything. Please share where it is that you base your statement from.

  7. the tug of war would have to do less with power and more with traction and weight i may beat both of you in a tug of war i have the torque and the 24x10 tires to grip.

    Titan = 369 lb - ft @ 3,600 RPM

    SRT10 = 525 lb - ft @ 4,200 RPM

    And I'm sittin on 22's.......I think I can handle the Titan! ;)

    haha did you watch the videos especially the one of the HEMI getting owned by a Bronco II - ouch!

    I will be sure to load up the bed with about 5 bags of concrete. muahahaha
