  1. DAMN! I thought we were getting plenty of rain, or maybe it's just the cape?
  2. Thank god you're OK, on the upside, the truck does look repairable! I've been there before, crashed my CBR pretty bad (3,000 in damage) and it made me feel pretty crappy. Toys are all reparable or replaceable, just keep that in mind. Keep your head up!
  3. I had mine done at about 23xxx miles (now at 32,xxx miles), still no clunk, I just hope it stays this way!
  4. Thanks guy's, I used high temp red caliper paint for the calipers, and high temp black engine paint for the caliper housings. I'm gonna go back in when I get a chance and give them another coat; the trucks a daily driver and can't be out of comission for too long. As for the rotors being two peice? They actually aren't, the are one peice with bolts drilled into the inner part of the rotor for apperance, they look real good though!
  5. Actually, the rotor's on my truck are one piece, they look like two piece because of the bolts on the inner side of the rotor, they don't serve a purpose besides appearance I don't think. To clarify, my kit is the same power slot plus kit you could find on TYBYRNE, does that help you guys out at all?
  6. And yes I know the truck needs a bath! I'll get to it this weekend, I've gotta make myself a signature anyhow.
  7. 10w3's are awesome subs, I've got one in my truck. Just one sub, and it hits like you wouldn't believe! Someone buy this, it's a sweet deal (one JL 10w3 alone costs $160 brand new, this box prob cost $500 new!)
  8. I am not quite sure what the part numbers are on the pads (I went through TYBYRNE) but I'll try to get some pic's up asap for you guys!
  9. I just wanted to let all you guys know who are looking to do brake upgrades, but would prefer not to break the bank; I installed the power slot plus kit on my truck along with a set of hawk pads, and they are a very nice alternative to other big brake kits at only around $415.00! I decided to do the whole thing all at once and painted my brake calipers and pad housings at the same time (process took about 8 hours allowing for the paint to dry). This overweight girl stops on a dime now, come right up to a street at 45mph and give the brakes a good stab..............45 to zero in no time at all!!
  10. I'd be down for that, I went to the outdoor track at Bridgewater (or close to Bridgewater anyway) and it was a blast! let me know when!
  11. Alright guys, I've done a search on here but so far have come up empty handed. I've got water on my driver side carpet and it appears to be coming from under the center console, right where the a/c and heat ducts run to the vents in the back of the truck. I know this because every time I run the A/C, I can reach under there, separate one of the duct seams, and water comes out, sometimes in larger quantity (depending on how long the A/C has been on for). So what do you guys think? Clogged A/C condenser drain pipe maybe? I dunno, I just don't enjoy water leaking into my nice purdy truck every time I run the A/C!!
  12. thats sweet man! Thats awsome that you pulled a bunch of trucks out on the beach, I never take the SS on the beach, it's cool to hear it does a nasty job!!
  13. I payed about $500.00 from tybrne, a good chunk of change but worth the money (how the truck drives is key).
  14. Just did mine, excellent driving control, very responsive!
  15. got rained out at work today, so I employed our shop mechanic to help me install a few goodies. I have always had two large problems with our trucks, #1 handling.......the SS is a sport truck, whose idea was it to exclude it from the list of vehicle's that received rear sway bars anyway? Got the hotchkiss sway bar set, problem solved. Problem #2, ride quality; while the SS does not ride like a Lexus, nor do I believe it actually could (it is a truck after all) I always wanted something more firm but very controlled at the same time; solution, a set of bilstiens, I cant say enough about these, they are awesome......tight ride but very controlled and not at all bouncy, perfect for the SS in my opinion! Two great mods, very much recommended!
  16. Nice trucks guys, man I love em both..........I look at blue in a whole different light now!
  17. Had mine done about 6 months ago, no problems whatsoever. The new shaft actually works!
  18. I think i've changed my mind guys, I think the truck is just gonna go to school with me after all, sorry guys I'm keeping it!
  19. I'm from good ol' cape cod, lots of cotton heads and not enough stuff to do!
  20. BUMP.............how about $21,000? Anyone? Super nice truck!
  21. Selling my 03' black silverado SS. Truck has been meticulously cleaned and maintained throughout the whole time I have owned it; oil changed every 3000 miles with Mobil one oil and Mobil one filter, washed and waxed religiously, and never abused. This truck is in excellent condition; I really don't want to get rid of it but, college time is approaching and I could really use the money! Truck only has 30,000 miles, has every option for the 03 year including leather. Also added, 35% window tint on driver and passenger windows, four-high conversion kit, four silver star headlights, weather tech floor mats and vent shades, le-bra bed cover and rubber bed mat with tailgate mat. Truck is never worked and is always clean inside and out, $22,000 in MASS
  22. Any of you guys looking to sell your jl stealth box? I want the one which has the 12w3 in a sealed box under the rear bench. Thanks
