  1. I'm in Killeen... no SSS but I like them and would go to look at some!
  2. Ahhhhhhhhhh this is the truck I want to tow my black 'vette with black rims but I don't have 20k yet!
  3. Hi, I was wondering about the market value of the Silverado SS. My question is, what sort of SSS could 15 grand pick up? Is it even possible? My guess is it would be a vehicle with anywhere from 60 to 100 thousand miles, probably an 03, in good to fair condition. But again, I'm not very familiar with these vehicles and their depreciation curve. The next question is reliability... would that 60 to 100 thousand mile truck prove very reliable? I know GM blocks and drivetrains can take a lot of abuse if maintained, so I'm guessing this holds true on the SSS. Final question: towing. How much can this thing tow? At most I would tow a Corvette on an open trailer, so I'd say anywhere from 4-6 thousand pounds depending upon the trailer. I know they have "ratings" and that is probably within the window, but if towing I think it'd be better to have excess capability than to just scrape the limit. Thanks all!
  4. Hi! Some beautiful trucks on this forum... I'm not a truck guy, but if it has to be a truck, it has to be a Chevy. And if it has to be a Chevy truck, it has to be a Silverado SS. Power and beauty. I have been lurking around looking at photos and reading what I can about the vehicle. Currently I own a 2005 Corvette as my only car. I love it to death, but it's not necessarily the most practical beast going, and I think I need a truck or some sort of hauler to carry my gear in back so I can finally make my 43k mile daily-driver 'vette a garage queen. Towing the 'vette would be cool, too! Not sure if the SS can handle that, though... I'll probably search some more on this forum, but I'm interested in seeing if the SS can be had used under the 20k mark, and if so, how low under 20k? My only experience dealing with finding one has been at a high-volume Chevy dealer, and that was an absolute nightmare. Anyhow, here is a pic or two of my ride. I think a black SS with black wheels and a drop would look killer next to it. Thanks, looking forward to learning more about the SS!
