Pretty stoked. Just got pictures from my Powder coat guy. the SSS frame is all done and ready to pickup. hellz yeah it can start going back together. its been to long.

Yeah it will be nice. Not that I drive it in the winter anyways. but ti will be nice. heck it really wont get driven much after the rebuild. hopinh to never drive it in the rain it will be so clean. lol

JUst installed my first garage heater. pretty jacked to have a heated garage now. 60k BTU Reznor natural gas heater. No more working in a cold garage this winter.

it gets cold he in Mt last week was down to 8* for the high for 3 or 4 days. I said forget that I'm getting a heater, Lol

I'm in the same boat. I have a small one. but was looking at a bigger one today. they make things easy and fun.
Its already snowed a few times here. Boo. I just ordered a Reznor 65k BTU heater for the garage today. no more working in a cold garage.

Congrats. thats awesome. Kids are great. Our first son is now 18 months old. Don't blink before you know it he will be 1. we have another one on the way I cant wait. to watch them learn and grow is awesome.

Starting to assemble the LS2 motor for my tbss. man LS motors are fun to work on. if you ever get a chance to build one do it. I have put 4 or 5 of these together and it never gets old.

Lol funny. the last motor had a knock called a spun rod bearing. hoping for no more.

Yeah it will look good lowered. On my way to work today I was thinking of possibly ordering up a cam kit for it. but sense I have tought her about vehicles I think she would know it has a cam. Lol because I'd want a choppy one.

We ended up going back with a stocker LS@ just all new parts. the TBSS will become the wifes after I find a truck I want. So she wanted it all stock. She doesn't want it with more HP she just wants it lower and new bigger wheels 22".

the TBSS spun a rod bearing. yanked the motor today. pulled the pan #4 rod is toast and so is the crank. I had only out 600 miles on it since buying it. oh well. time for a rebuild its not like the old owner could hide a rod knock. it just happens.

Thanks. Ill have to look into them. I got a quote from thompson motorsports for 3k shipped to me. thats a stock LS2. seems decent as well.

^^^ ha funny. yeah will see. Rotating assembley have really come down. I can get a kit for about 2500.00 not to shabby. plus all the other stuff that goes along with it.

yep its just the nature of the beast. lol nothing a rebuild cant take care of. Im trying to talk myself out of a cam and making it a 402 stroker. Lol keep telling myself its a DD.

A Beater DD is a must. I have alays had a few DDs its makes it nice not racking up miles. Heck I still drive me beater DD more than the new Tbss. just to save on fuel. accord gets 25 mpg intown TBSS 13MPG. its a no brainer. only drove the TBSS once to work in 2 weeks.

Just got the front windshield raplaced and fully tinted on the TBSS. Did not go super dark. did it more for the heat factor. but it looks good. Went with ceramic tint anybody ever have this installed? it was pricey. but they claim its a heat saver.

yeah its not legal. but if you know somebody to do it. it can be done. lol really its not that dark. then you add a dark tint strip and nobody knows its even tinted. I did it more to keep it cool inside the cab after sitting out all day. it looks great.

So there is a new trend going around with the ricers in my town. I have seen like 6 cars lately with 3-4 foot extensions coming up and our of their exhausts. WTF?

Dude would not move on the price. I wasnt going to pay more then blue book for it. Because it wasnt not in perfect shape. it was in really good shape. So I told him Id pass. funny thing is. I just got a call from him 15 mins ago. asking if I still wanted and he would go cheaper. Lol I told him I think I have found something else and would call if I wanted it. The best a easiest way to do the rear lowering kit is to pull the bed. guy guys can lift if off. this is the only way i lower truck. I have done 3 this way and it makes for work on them cake. you might need to add head to that upper shackle bolt to get it to come out.

It was for a avalanche which the hoods are very close to the same but a hair off. you wouldn't notice until you went to install is. so to get the right hood paint it was a total of $900.00 all said done.

Did you pre-fit the hood? Reason I ask is because I once bought a hood for my truck . got it dropped off to paint right away. picked it up a few days later and what do yo know wrong hood. I had to eat the $500.00 dollars in the paint. When I called to see if they would cover the paint they said no and it should have been pre fit.
